I've confused several onlookers who have determined incorrectly that Casper is really a faux/fake SS, simply because I've moved the location of the red rear deck lid SS symbols, from the right side over to the more ( In my thinking)- generally I'm in the right lane on four lane hwys and its easier for passing motorist to read) appropriate left side of the deck lid. I'll also be adding the RS emblem to the rightside, soon.................

There is a guy at my work pulling the same thing. This one is not even a v6 equiped with the RS package. I guess if it makes him feel beeter, but he is not fooling me.

WOW never realized what another person does with his or her own property would seem to upset so many people. Honestly who cares what that guy did to his car did you ever think that maybe he had an SS car but swapped out the Brembo Brakes (to run smaller tires at the track), did not like the SS bumper and did the SS to V6 bumper swap (this had been done)? People really need to lighten up when you start paying the monthly payment on that persons car then you can say whatever you want about that car.

This is no different than a person making a clone Yenko car/Copo Car does it really matter we have far more pressing issues in today’s world then to worry what kind of badging a person adds to his or her car.

Course I had my red SS's replaced with the non-RS white ones. Red on a IBM/White car just didn't do it for me.

Boy you guys are going to laugh at this but there is a guy in my town that has 1lt and came to me to get him some SS emblems. I said you know that is a 6 Cyl. don't you, that is why it does not say SS. He said, at nearly every red light someone wants to race him. He is sick of it and wanted to try this. That is why he wants the SS emblems. He came back the other day and said it worked, he thinks everybody is scared of him.

You know this "badging" business has been going on since the beginning of time. I watched a bunch of the Barrett-Jackson Auction from Vegas and they had dozens of cars that had been "re-badged", it is just a personal preference and did not affect the block price at all. They also explained that in the 60's Chevy choose to go with the policy that if you had a SS/RS that the SS trumps the RS and thus your car will have SS badges.
