Mr. Settlemire - I never had the pleasure to meet you however thru C5 I can honestly say you are a class act and more importantly an ambassador for the Camaro and GM. Seems like a tragedy to lose such an icon but as has been said time marches on...Good luck and God Bless you in your future endevours!

Scott,
At the risk of sounding syrupy-sweet;
It has been a real pleasure to make your acquaintance. Never before have I been so enthused about owning a car. This positive experience has been further enhanced by the opportunity to put names, faces and personalities, such as yourself and Cheryl Plicher to the car, thus making it that much more personal.

"Aller Anfang ist schwer" - All beginnings are difficult; but your youthful good-looks,
charming personality and buoyant enthusiasm will likely ensure your continued success in your new assignment.

Kindest Regards and Best Wishes,
Ricamaro - Richard Newman

Scott -

I can honestly say that without your time and effort to keep this community up to date on the rebirth of the Camaro over the past few years, I would not have bought one. Through your information, insight, and the occasional "keep the faith" comments, I felt much more connected to the entire development, testing, and production process for the 5th Gen. I was able to see and hear the kind of commitment that was being done to make this car successful. You are part of the Camaro family, no matter what your job title and responsibilities are at any given moment. Good luck with the new gig and be sure to come hang out here every so often.

Thanks for all you have done Scott. I will miss the meet and greet this year in Milwaukee. That was where I had the pleasure of finally meeting you last year. I hope to see you at some sort of event in the future. I know transitions are hard but most of the time are neccessary and turn out for the best.

Regards,
Dan

i had to chime in as well. When i first got the camaro, i emailed Scott and to my surprise he emailed back. It was a pleasure to talk to someone like him and to know he took time out of his schedule to write back with his own spin on the car and the fact i loved it. You don't get that now with corporate guys from other companies. I truly believe Scott will go farther in life because he knows how to respond to the common everyday camaro owner. Too often we get no responses from the upper echelon of companies and here we have a guy who will go beyond what is called for in a job just to make sure we have communication between a brand and it's consumers. Thanks again Scott. I wish you well my friend..............................

I'm sure I can speak for PACE when I say thanks for everything you have done for us. Those of us who were in Detroit in ' 06 will never forget the sight of that concept Camaro coming out on stage! We'll miss the great times at Carlisle and Summit as well. Be assured that the yearly picnic will still go on at Tom Henry Chevy, and you will always be a part of it.
Good luck Neighbor--we are with you!
Sue you dont know the half of it of what your little cousin has done to some peoples lives. lol.

Scott, From the first time I met you, thinking you were just some COMPANY MAN from GM (boy you changed my veiw quickly). To the time we were standing in a kitchen in Auburn wa, you cooking & me cleaning up your mess lol (& the time we were on the back pourch of that said house, talking about the new project) to this last summer when I got a short ride in Thor.

You mean something to everyones lives in are introduced to. It has been & will contune to be a pleasure to know you.

Just remember its ok to get out of the office & come to see friends & FAMILY members all over the US.

Tom & Sue keep an eye on that young man & help him take care of his mom.

Scott

As is always the case in our business we seem to lose some very key personnel that are the glue that holds things together . I consider you one of our biggest supporters and without a doubt the biggest fan of the new 2010 Camaro .

It was an honour to meet you at C5 Fest 1 and i know that with your experience and knowledge of all things GM you will be running your new dept in no time at all .

Don't forget if your ever in the Oshawa Plant please look me up , and as always i send you warmest regards from the entire Oshawa Build Team .

Scott- this gal will be looking forward to hearing what you will be doing soon. I just bought another Camaro - he looks alot like Thor. He is the new convertible. He can go really fast - 5 mph. Now, I think it is time for another name to be bestowed to this new addition. Any suggestions?? Just waiting for another "hug" from ya--What joy you have given to so many!

Wow! I was too late & missed meeting you at the Music City Chevy Show.

Like another poster said, I was holding on to hope that somehow you might show up at The Corvette Museum Camaro exibit/event. I so wanted to meet you after reading so many of your posts on here. Nothing is permanent except change. Best of luck in your new position. GM is blessed to have you on their team in what ever role you fulfill. Don't be a stranger to this community & be sure to post pics of the new car when it arrives. Thanks for all you have done to bring us this wonderful car & to help us along the way. I am addicted to mine! Best wishes in all you do.
