LOSING MY MIND OVER COLORS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually...NoThere are many factors that determined my choice in colors,and one of those factors was "maintence"...how many times a week would i have to wash my new camaro to keep up the appearance of it,and how much elbow grease is it gonna take to keep my new camaro lookin' good!

Another factor was normal"wear & tear"(carwashes,stone chips,dirt,scratches)on the finish of my new Camaro.(Although i will be "hand washing" my Camaro)

Visual appeal(i like to get noticed)

Past expierences with certain colors

I chose IOM Inferno orange metallic!...Why?
1.Visual appeal,looks great in sunlight and at night and stays clean longer,doesn't attract dirt and heat like Black and Dark blue does.Orange looks great with black or white stripes.

So i basically stayed away from the darker colors(Black,Dark Blue,Gray,Red pearl)These colors for me have alot of disadvantages,like when it's 80-90 degrees outside,they tend to get "real hot"on the inside,expecially with Leather interior
not to mention scratch's and chips,dings and dents,acid rain are very evident on dark colored cars,and stick out like a sore thumb:

Lite colored cars stay alot cooler in hot weather(silver,orange,yellow,white),and IMHO look much more appealing and are more of a attention grabber,and to some degree add a sence of exitement to the visual appeal of a car.,and small imperfections are barely noticeable on lite colored cars.

I was really hoping for a burgundy metallic red,cause that is my favorite color,oh well maybe GM will replace Aqua blue(my least favorite color) with a nice burgundy red?

No worries, I've bounced between the Victory Red and Inferno Orange and Cyber Gray... I think Im staying with Cyber Gray.. tho I haven't seen in person the Inferno Orange or the victory red...

Soooooo yeah... Hopefully it turns out well. If not.. well I'll just repaint the d@mn thing lol

COLOR CHANGE CAMARO!

this way we can just pick a color for whatever mood we feel.

and right now i have gone CGM, Black, red, black, IOM, black... and looking.

I really haven't had this problem. I knew from the start that I wanted silver. For a few days after the first IBM photos were release I thought about getting IBM, but not really seriously.

Now, I do bounce back and forth about once a week on whether to get black striping or CGM striping. I'm thinking black for that retro look, but the gray looks really good on the silver.

My three finalists were CGM, SIM, and IBM.

All of my cars in the last 10 years have been a charcoal grey color.
SIM looks great with stripes, not so great without. This was a tough one.

I saw the IBM video and decided that was for me. I want SIM stripes but didn't order them. My dealer admitted that having them install the stripes wasn't a good idea. I am hoping that the next IDL will have factory silver stripes as an option.

On the original topic, I think it will be best to see the colors in person. Get some paint chips from your dealer, too. Also, consider what you are going to do with the car. If you like rims, then figure out what color will look best with them. For instance, black rims don't look great on all colors, so consider that.

Ok after contemplating all of these points I have come to the realization that my original impulse still was the right one for me so I am going to go get the paint chips but I believe I will settle on RALLY YELLOW

Hey Arc,

It's just part of the process. I went thru that phrase already switching back and forth thru at least 6-7 different colors. I'm just glad they have several different ones to pick from.
