Hope she's happy with the choice she made. From what I've read and experienced in a test drive, you can put it in sport, and absolutely thrash on the car, and the fuel economy will still be respectable (30+). Sports mode really changes the car. Hopefully she got the stick, and not the CVT, because the CVT deadens the car a bit. A lot of the negative reviews have been in cars with CVTs, which does return slightly better fuel economy.

I'll be looking forward to seeing how it does in the coming months. Already though, the sound system is pretty badass, and the ride is quiet and smooth. so not terrible.
Since nobody else has done this

Agreed!

However, very un-cool that she went off and bought it without you. So what major thing comes next without you knowing.....of which you will be responsible for 1/2 if for some reason there was a split?

Personally, that action alone is some fighting grounds. To me that's a loss of trust right there and you need every bit of that in a marriage.

Hopefully that will be the one and only time that will ever happen. I would have to make sure my wife understood that without a doubt.

Caverman, her and I discussed all of that actually and she understands NOW how much of a breach of trust it was. She still claims it was ok for her to do but she also understands how pissed I'd be if it happened again so here's hoping that it was the 1 and only time something like this happens. lol either way I'll be uploading pics of her new whip in a little while, she got the auto since she can't drive a stick lol.

I like the styling to it... but my first car was a CRX... so I'm biased.

As for her purchusing it with out you... I'd be upset, but only because I LOVE going to dealerships. But my wife hates buying car's, we needed a second for me, I found a great deal on a Cobalt SS/SC, and I was all excited to check it out... and she just said... just don't spend over XXX amount, and left it at that.

Odly it kinda hurt my feelings that she didn't want to go.

BTW, I did get the car and got it for 1500 under the XXX amount.

She'll be my DD until I can afford my Camaro 1SS... maybe in a year or so.

You mean the styling based off a car from a quarter century ago:

CR-X

CR-Z

I don't hate the CRZ but I'm pretty sure I would never buy one. If your wife is happy though, that is what is really important. We all know if momma ain't happy, nobody is happy!
