Hope you have a speedy recovery. Glad you are still with us. I lived in Philly for 4 years while going to college and those bus drivers are ridiculous. They think since they are bigger they can do what they want and it is your responsibility to get out of their way. Good luck with the bus company and insurance claims

Where did you go to High School? My wife is from Delco (Folsom) and graduated from Cardinal O'Hara in '98.

Just really happy to see your going to be on the mend, you have a first rate hospital to go to for surgery....... GM engineers designed a safe tough car and it did what its designed to do!!! I hope you sue the bus company!!!!!!

PS, I.m originally from Dolyestown...

Hello, SSRSin2010 --

My blood ran cold when I saw the pictures of your Camaro -

Safety is first and foremost in everything we do - - while I cannot talk about things we do - you would be surprised at the lengths we go to in order to design and build the safest cars and trucks possible.

Unfortunately we (and any other manufacturer) aren't able to build the car or truck that guarantees you won't be injured or worse - but the details and issues we work thru are done for a reason: We don't want anyone to be injured or 'pass to that Great Chevy Showroom in the Sky" due to an accident. There are reasons that this Camaro is heavier than we'd like-- and the crashworthiness that you just experienced - and the rest of us just witnessed is one of them.

You'll be in my prayers thru your surgery (I happen to be in an airport heading to Philadelphia as I type this!...) and also know that I will pass your story on to our Camaro Team at Chevrolet.

Pay attention to what the doctors tell you to do - we want you behind the wheel of another brand new Camaro when you've recovered.......

Thank you for your loyalty to us - we really do appreciate it!

And TAG - thanks for bringing this story to my attention!

It's a bitch having breaks on the same side. March of '08 I broke my right shoulder and right leg in a accident, I wasn't allowed to put weight on my leg for two months and I couldn't use crutches either. When you get mobile again, take it easy, you will be shocked how much strenght you will lose after being laid up, but it will come back. Good luck with you recovery.

Having had a very serious accident about 22 years ago, those pics gave me chills. I'm so glad you are going to be okay. Thank Goodness our Camaros have so much safety built into them & have some size to them. Rehab is rough but you will be stronger afterword. My Camaro has helped me finally regain a feeling of confidence, reducing anxiety I have felt when driving ever since my accident. I hope everything goes as well as possible in your surgery & recovery. Do keep us posted as you will be in our thoughts & prayers.

Glad you're ok and thankful that the team in Oshowa made us such a safe car! Are you planning out your new Camaro yet?

That's how the OP broke his right foot, he was standing on the brake at time of impact.
If there is any good news to this, rest assured the L99 may live again someday in a street rod project.
Good luck fighting with a transit company over accident fault. I would get an attorney.
