Once consensus is done...shortly there after....we will be able to look at another report....

FINAL ALLOCATION BY WEEK. This report will help us better communicate on what Thursday an order is able to be tagged, pending on constraints (if any ) of course.

Greg and I can generate 100 Camaro order sheets right now, but if none of the above happen....they are just sheets as we said in the video we got our balls kicked in for.

Thanks guys!

OUCH !

I can almost feel your pain...

Signifying what? Number of V6 and number of V8 individually?

In the dealers consensus, there is one Camaro line showing how many they have earned for the month. That is inclusive of all Camaros. Where V6 and V8 play into this is the weekly constraint report. We are a Cadillac store and with CTS-V, if I have a CTS allocation available, it doesn't mean I can order a V.

In the case of Camaro, on the constraint report it will display how many V8's would be available nationally, then there is a column showing how many the dealer has available against the national number. If it is 0, then they must take a V6 or lose the allocation. If there is a number in the column, that is how many V8's they can order that week. It is a controled quantity by GM.

Whoa....

What about the dealer who has a PGN number of 5 and all of his pre-orders are V8?

Are you saying if he ends up showing he gets 1 car but no V8 he has to take a V6 or lose the one car? Doesn't that instantly screw the guy in position #5 ?

So have you received your consensus number for the month? If so how many was it? What was your allocation number back in October? Just trying to get a feel for how many cars they'll be building the first month.

^^^ so, is that 1 out of 14 allocated? Were you limited to ordering either a V6 or V8 or could you choose whatever you wanted?

From what I've read here, he won't know until the weekly constraint report. It will tell him which trim is available to order.

this is soooo confusing. The OP link on post one said that as of yesterday there were no constraints on the Camaro. I presume that yesterdays report was the "Constraint" report. I also presume that today we are expecting a "Consensus" report.

If he said 1/14. My presumption is that he got his consensus and was able to order one car. If there are no constraints as listed in the OP's link, then I presume he can order 1 car of whatever model.....

I'm presuming a lot here because I don't know sh*t

You and me both my friend. I'm going with the "two report" thing based on EVS Greg's post above.

You get it, sir!

In this case guy 5 is screwed. We have been saying all along and GM has said as well, you will NOT get all V8's. Gm stated in the IDL a few weeks ago that this will fall back on the dealers for over selling their allocation. Now this is just through October. After the initial roll out of the car, production should catch up and everyone will get their V8's. Just not in the first few months. The "Estimated Ship" number all dealers received were through October allocation.
