I have a couple of questions please. What, exactly is a build sheet? How do you get a copy of it? And lastly, does anyone recall the time frame, in terms of weeks or days, that it took to build the corvette DealerInfo posted before he/she was deleted? That is from 100 event code to 6000 event code.

Of course, I dreamt it last night and the person that told me in my dream was Shunt. And he was screaming it from the trunk of my car as it was going down the assembly line yesterday. BTW, 80Zedder, Shunt said you did a very nice job painting on the inside lip of the trunk. Thanks!

Yeah, well I have "people" and they discovered your embedded premature build dream....it's been rerouted to MD. Ha! Ha! Take that trunk Shunt buddy!!!

That sheet showed a "normal" 6 week time frame from 1100 to 6000 status...on a car that already had the production line running and didn't have any startup or new car issues. I would anticipate 6-8 weeks from the time the first ones start moving off 1100 status to 6000 status. The key will be watching the 3000 status to 4100 status as that's the real production time. The before and after is system acceptance, staging and delivery time from the end of the production line to your dealer's lot.

Attached. Keep in mind that he had allocation already so its valid for our orders basically from 3000 on. Also, these things can vary greatly. For example, it took 2 weeks for it to ship after it was available to ship. Yours might only take a day if the timing is right.

All I know is that my Hedrick's Chevrolet Dealership told me to make a decision over the weekend about one of the options I was going back and forth with, and let 'em know this past Monday, 2-16-09, because they're getting really near the point where orders are going to start getting pulled. (And I'm #8 out of 11, and am getting an SS...actually, I think I moved up to #7.)

My dealer told me today that GM is sending one car to every dealer first so they can display them and then my order will come in later. Is this really true or did they sell the one to somebody else first and tell me i was getting the only one they get allocated in this first run? He said they do NOT know what color or what style - they said it will ship in an enclosed trailer so they will know what they get when they open the trailer. This sounds like a bunch of BS to me.
Has anyone heard the same story from their dealership and if not could you call your salesman and ask if this is true please - i feel like i am not getting the true from him.
Thanks
