True but at least TRYING to use proper grammar helps others understand what you are trying to say. I'm no English teacher and don't expect perfection when I read posts but there are some that are just thrown together in a clump of words with no meaning.

"Out driving" does not equal responsible and experienced driving which only time provides.

i am, black 1ss/rs on order, currently 17 will probably be 18 when it comes(b-day in april). i am fortunate enough to have a grandpa who was a lawyer, and one in the oil business and they both invested wisely. my dad has a steady job and im getting my college paid for. my parents/grandparents are paying for my car, and i am truly sorry some of you guys think all teens getting their car paid for are spoiled.

Rent an apartment. Car gets paid off first, especially with my crap credit as it is. I think the car would be a wise investment in building credit for the eventual purchase of a home, and with insurance I already pay an equivalent with my truck. If you plan it out, a Camaro can work. I also do not plan to replace this car..ever. Nor my bike. So gas hikes may not be as much an issue as they seem.

Sorry just had to say someting ...wow since when has a car been any kind of investment? And when you miss a payment or whatever happens..what then? your standing with them goes down the toliet

Yes you are spoiled. You should have to work for everything you have. You do not learn responibility by getting everything handed to you. And by saying that..I am sorry for you that you dont get the chance to feel how good it is to earn something on your own.

that didnt take long..anyways i was speaking for myself when i said i wouldnt be one to wreck my camaro, not my age group as a whole. i've never so much as put a dent in a car in my 5 years of driving. i doubt the majority of people in here can say that.
just saying not everyone is a statistic

Back in tha fall of 1982 when I just turned 19 I bought a 1969 Mustang Mach I 428 CJ 4 spd and that car scared the crap out of me. By then I had already owned a couple of quick cars but nothing like the 428 CJ. If I had bought that car when I was 16 I'd probably be dead. My advice to the potential teenage owners of V8 gen 5 Camaro's is to treat these cars with alot of respect and take some performance driving courses at the track. Then you should get many years of driving thrills and still be alive years later to talk about it.

You sir are spoiled. As am I. I think many people automatically label spoiled people with a variety of adjectives such as rude, selfish, etc. This is not always the case, though I must admit it does hold true in most cases. I try not to be like this, and usually I am not. But believe me when I am tired and/or hungry I can turn into a complete douche if I am not careful, and embody every connotation of the word "spoiled". And yes I agree that most of the time you will take better care of something if you bought it with your own hard-earned dollar. I have tremendous respect for you teens who are paying for this car with funds you have acquired through many hours of low-paying (at least initially) jobs, which most likely ran concurrent with your schooling. However I say most because some "spoiled" people like tsg (I hope) and myself have a sense of honor and gratitude towards our providers, and any irresponsible or disrespectful act motivates us to treat what is given to us, be it a car or the opportunity to have our college education paid for, just as if we had paid for it ourselves. For instance, I spent 7 hours detailing my mom's car this past weekend just because I felt I owed it to her since she lets me drive it whenever I wish (no it was not a Valentine's Day gift I got her something else for that). Sorry for my little rant, I just wanted to attempt to stop the negative vibes radiating from some of you guys regarding "spoiled" teens.

Do you think that you would treat your car like shit. Its up to the person completely whether they appreciate their car whether they make the money for it or not. I know people who work their asses off and buy cars and still treat it like shit. Please dont assume on others behalf

If i won the lotto i would hope for more than 50,000. More like 5,000,000.00 and then I would buy a Porsche Carerra GT, ZR1 Corvette, and 1 Camaro SS in every color And I would appreciate all of them just as much as if i had to work my A$$ off for them.
