Quite simply, it is all I've ever driven or owned. I don't have any real reason other than that. First loaner from dad ages ago was a manual, and automatic just feels weird to me. Feels like it is a car missing functionality and it starts to agitate me after a while of driving one. I can drive automatic, but not very well. All I know is manual, and I'm sad it is a dying breed, because it makes car shopping for other vehicles more difficult. If they eventually do away with it as an option altogether, then I'm guessing the money I'd put into a new vehicle at that point will simply go towards a total restoration of a manual that I already have.

Why'd I buy manual? Because it is all I actually know how to drive properly.

I ordered mine with a manual so my wife couldn't drive it.. I know, it's bad but, I had a heck of a time trying to teach her to dive my race quad. That cost me a little bit of money to buy a new race clutch....

Because I sit on my *** long enough during worktime and at least a manual keeps the blood flowing while I'm sitting on my *** once again during playtime.

Thats true no one was talkin Sh** about the manual and its true people on this forums who drive v8s think there so much superior to the v6ers
Some people are sometimes just way too sensitive. You always have a few that may go too far however on the other hand the majority of the ribbing is all in good natured fun.

I got manual becuase it had been about 12 years since I had owned a car with a manual and I thought what better car to get back into manual driving with than a Camaro?
I've always enjoyed using a manual, I find it more fun....but there are times when I miss the automatic...like when I'm trying to drink a coffee in stop and go traffic, lol.

There was never any question in my mind about this. It is not a daily driver. M6 was the only option for me.

Why would anyone buy a muscle car or sports car with an automatic.

Race cars have 3 pedals.

1. So your saying i have to pay an extra $1,185 for GM to take away 26 horsepower?

2. I don't know if Im alone on this one buy whenever i drive an automatic i feel like i don't pay as much attention to the road. When i drive my M6 i have to be ready to change gears, rev match, downshift, and then i jump into an automatic car and it does everything for me its like i don't have to pay attention anymore like the cars on autopilot.

3. Correct me if Im wrong but on the auto cars when you pull the shifter all the way down i believe the car goes into M which would be manual mode. If and automatic was the way to go why would it need manual mode? i don't see any Stick shift cars with a D mode where the transmission shifts itself(not talking Smg's cars with an actual clutch pedal...)

I don't mean to come off like a jerk or offend anybody, obviously everyone is going to pick which they prefer regardless, but there's just something about driving a manual transmission that us manual guys understand, and from what i read in all the car magazines were the last of a dying breed....
Getting bashed =you are a victim now Dying breed = put yourself on the endangered list PLEASE !!!

I like feeling more connected to the car. Driving a manual makes you be more in tune with what the car is doing and what you're doing. You have to think about what you're doing, what you're about to do, how fast you're going to do it, etc. You're the one controlling the throttle, the steering and the gears... Well, mostly. I know the computer can partly take control -- but, I'm still mostly in control... When driving a manual correctly, I feel like the car and I become more of one entity. If one starts fighting the other for too much control, then the movements become less fluid.

Now.... If I was going to be drag racing this car all of the time.. Automatic all the way.. It simply will beat a human in shifting speed and accuracy. The launches are much easier to do and easier on the system...

This is a street toy, so, manual it is. But, that's just me.

1. Want all the HP/ cylinders when I want it, not when the “car” thinks I should
2. Didn’t want to pay more for less HP
3. To me its more fun and…ya just got to get the stick.
4. At the strip, whats the fun/ in an auto, of holding the break and when the light turns, stomps the gas. Heck at that point get out of the car and use a remote control to steer too …it’s a straight line after all…

But in all seriousness, a sports car to me is one with a stick, but each to thier own and if you get an auto thats cool too . There are no losers when you have a Camaro

I got a manual because I'm a driver. Automatics are for operators.
