I have a question for all of you "realist". Do you believe not a single solitary V6 will be sold anywhere in this country between now and May? I'm curious because you people act like "constrained" means "postponed". I have acknowledge SEVERAL FRIKKIN' TIMES that my dealer said that "things may change" but he's telling me what his allocations look like RIGHT NOW. But you guys are like dogs with a bone trying to "keep it real". I mean seriously, look at yourselves. |

So with all due respect could you tell us your V6's status code. And if yours is moving I am happy for you... If your dealer cannot provide you with a status of 3000 or greater then he IS PROBABLY lieing to you. for your reference here are the status codes. Quote:

As of this very minute 0 nationally V6 orders (zero). Thus if your dealers has allocation available a V6 order would be kicked out of the system during the Pass report process. Not just V6 orders but those with the Hurst Shifter, the CGM color. All will be slid back until production constraints allow for them to pass instead of fail on the production report. Please understand we want you to get your car...once more...we want you to get your car. We just dont want you to expect something that cant happen right now. Call your dealer back and ask to see his Pass Report, His concensus report and the priority report. Then let us know what is going on.

![]() I agree with all the rest... Your dealer is an Idiot because he gets paid by YOU and he knows less than almost any one who has followed this since Oct. He has used his selling skills and is blowing smoke up everone's ass. (Maybe even his own) ![]() ![]()

At my dealer today
Stopped in to talk to Mike today, he does all the ordering for several dealerships and luckily his office is at my dealership.
We had a long talk again about the system and how it works. Understand he manages over 8000 vehicles and has 35 years experience doing this. As we veterans of this site know, allotments are based on dealer volume and Mustang registrations in the area. This is what he SHOWED me on the system, not just talk. V6's as of today are still constrained. He got 2 allocations the first week and 1 last week. The dealer car (V6) counts against his allotment. The second allotment went to me, I am still at 3400 and have been for the last 3 weeks. My order was pulled on 2/12. The allotment received last week he filled with a 2SS/RS, Black on Black, it is currently at 3000. The dealer has no control over the V6 showroom car they will receive. OK, V6 constraints may be lifted soon or may not. Even if lifted tomorrow, allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Also, I would like to know how this dealer expects 5 allotments for April, let alone commit to delivering a V6. Anyone??? Just wanted to share some facts guys, please don't kill the messenger.

WOW...Pretty entertaining thread and I only wish we could keep the discussion to the facts and not turn it into a slug fest. IMO trm was using a term that we have all come to love not only on this forum but also where I come from LS1.com where I spent years sharing my experiences with my fellow members. I look forward to doing the same on this forum with my new extended family....
