I DO hope you get your car that soon....but I was just trying to interject some reality into what your dealer told you. Thought it might help, but I guess you weren't up for info contrary to what you want to believe. I'd be happy to be wrong cause then all the others that had to have their V6 be on hold will get them like they should have. I'll make sure you ask next time if you want to know other views against what your dealer tells you before I post.
Dude, get over yourself, seriously.

I have a question for all of you "realist". Do you believe not a single solitary V6 will be sold anywhere in this country between now and May? I'm curious because you people act like "constrained" means "postponed".

I have acknowledge SEVERAL FRIKKIN' TIMES that my dealer said that "things may change" but he's telling me what his allocations look like RIGHT NOW. But you guys are like dogs with a bone trying to "keep it real".

I mean seriously, look at yourselves.

Thought I told you to get over yourself. I don't even know what your point is anymore. I mean, WTF? The car may get here in April and it may not. Just what the HELL do you want?

You never answered my question. IF your dealer is getting all his cars in April, then he should have been given new status codes on the cars and when he told you that yours was going to be built he should have been able to give you what that code was. Now the question to you is, did you get the code? if you did could you please tell us what it is. we all that have ordered V6's WANT to see the first one moving through the system. I never said you were wrong or that he was, i said It was just hard to believe with the information that has been presented to us over the last month..

So with all due respect could you tell us your V6's status code.

And if yours is moving I am happy for you... If your dealer cannot provide you with a status of 3000 or greater then he IS PROBABLY lieing to you.

for your reference here are the status codes.

Quote:
Order status codes:
1100 = Preliminary Order (Order passed GM edit tables but dealers has not received allocation to place order)
2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)
2500 = Preferenced (Order pulled to the production system)
3000 = Accepted By Production Control (Order input into the production system)
3100 = Sequenced (Order sequenced for Production)
3300 = Scheduled For Production (Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle)
3400 = Broadcast (Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together)
3800 = Produced (Order is built and VIN# shows in the Dealer Order system now)
4150 = Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
4200 = Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
5000 = Delivered To Dealer
6000 = Delivered To Customer

As of this very minute 0 nationally V6 orders (zero). Thus if your dealers has allocation available a V6 order would be kicked out of the system during the Pass report process. Not just V6 orders but those with the Hurst Shifter, the CGM color. All will be slid back until production constraints allow for them to pass instead of fail on the production report. Please understand we want you to get your car...once more...we want you to get your car. We just dont want you to expect something that cant happen right now. Call your dealer back and ask to see his Pass Report, His concensus report and the priority report. Then let us know what is going on.

As the only V6 KNOWN to be at over event 3000 (in Canada) I Found this tread very interesting.

I agree with all the rest... Your dealer is an Idiot because he gets paid by YOU and he knows less than almost any one who has followed this since Oct. He has used his selling skills and is blowing smoke up everone's ass. (Maybe even his own)

He mentioned the CGM and shifter as well were delayed, (his words). I will ask for these things tomorrow.

Thanks for the info and the helpful way in which you relayed it.

At my dealer today

Stopped in to talk to Mike today, he does all the ordering for several dealerships and luckily his office is at my dealership.
We had a long talk again about the system and how it works.
Understand he manages over 8000 vehicles and has 35 years experience
doing this.
As we veterans of this site know, allotments are based on dealer volume and
Mustang registrations in the area.

This is what he SHOWED me on the system, not just talk.
V6's as of today are still constrained.
He got 2 allocations the first week and 1 last week.
The dealer car (V6) counts against his allotment.
The second allotment went to me, I am still at 3400 and have been for the last 3 weeks. My order was pulled on 2/12.
The allotment received last week he filled with a 2SS/RS, Black on Black, it
is currently at 3000.
The dealer has no control over the V6 showroom car they will receive.

OK, V6 constraints may be lifted soon or may not. Even if lifted tomorrow,
allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
Also, I would like to know how this dealer expects 5 allotments for April, let alone commit to delivering a V6. Anyone???

Just wanted to share some facts guys, please don't kill the messenger.

WOW...Pretty entertaining thread and I only wish we could keep the discussion to the facts and not turn it into a slug fest. IMO trm was using a term that we have all come to love not only on this forum but also where I come from LS1.com where I spent years sharing my experiences with my fellow members. I look forward to doing the same on this forum with my new extended family....

NOW WHERE IS MY CAMARO
