I found some pictures of a couple other camaros where the doors seem to line up better.. so it seems like it may not be an across the board problem.

That mis-alignment caught me eye instantly. Totally not acceptable.

Being a relative noob I will interject that now that I am seeing multiple (cars) pics, it looks as though they do know how to get the alignment right, question now is will they transfer that ability to the line?

I will say, letting that car roll out into the hands of a customer whether its me or Elvis with that kind of defect and knowing full well it would be seen likely around the world by a large number of people including lots of potential buyers is the kind of thing GM does all to often.

Similar to flying into Reagan Intl on your G5 asking for a bailout.

I agree that does look rough. The other picture posted looked fine though, so I don't know what to think about this. This would not effect me purchasing this car though, I have seen the Camaro in person and if was that noticable it certainly didn't catch my eye. I still think the car is beautiful, but I do understand the concerns and it definately merits concerns! I can understand something like this being overlooked or somehow a mistake made during assembly, it is a the first production run of a new car. I think what is most important is if it is in fact a flaw, is how they deal with it. We should let them know our concerns and see what happens. These things do happen, so giving them the benefit of the doubt until they give us reason not to, is what I will do. Hang in there!

A couple more for ya..
It looks like there needs to be more QC on the doors since these pictures prove they can be aligned right...

If that is the way many of you think that is great but the market does not drive for things to be like that any more. I for one think that, not just the camaro in particular, but any GM needs to be damn good from the get-go the way the economy is.

I'm sure I will get yelled at for that but that is just the way it is.
jebussssss -if you dont want the car dont buy it we dont want to hear you crying
you see one picture and all of a sudden the cars a piece of crapp-----yet you see 3 or more pics where the allaignment is perfect and you dont comment on those

Looking at those preproduction pics, there has to be an explanation for Hylton's pic. There's no way they could go from perfect to not even close after an extra month of QC.

I'm going to wait until I see some more production pics before I go crazy

No big deal. 10 years from now at a car show people will know that a Camaro with a interior fitment issue was built in the first month or so. It will be cool.

I might take a late build 2010 and make a bad alignment so on lookers "know for sure" I had a first month car.

My guess is when you race the car and leave the line with a manual and 422 horse the torque twist alone will make the interior line up perfect.
