SLP has the trademark rights to ZL as of right now, so they can build what ever they want and slap that name on it.

GM/Chevrolet have never sold off the Z-28 name to anyone, thus it's a trademark infringement. Even though it's on a Chevrolet Camaro.

It's a dealer badged z28.. I don't see any big deal with a dealer doing that.. dealers customize cars all the time... Is it a licensed official z28 from GM ? No of course not and as long as they don't try and sell it as such people need to relax about it...LOL

WHAT I do question is 104 hp from a CAI and exhaust... do they have any dyno slips to prove it or is it that an estimate from doing mods and a tune

They are selling a customized car, I dont see the big deal or outrage about it.. Its a dealer version.. not licensed.. not sure its illegal to do that.. ?

I'm hoping fbodfather reads this thread...... GM's attorneys would probably like to speak to this dealership. In person. With cease and decist court orders in hand.

Since "Z28" is a registered trademark of GM and Chevrolet, it is illegal for anyone to make a profit by selling anything labeled, advertised, or passed on as such whether expressed or implied as a "Z28" if it is not a Z28 as made by GM.

The same exact laws apply here as someone pirating music, and then selling it to make a profit.

If this dealer makes a profit larger than what would reasonably be expected by selling this SS as if it were an SS and nothing more or different, that is illegal.
