I'm am still waiting for my 2012 45th ann vert its been in QC since 8/23. I contacted Gm about it and this was the response.

Your dealer is reporting correct that your car appears to be on a QC hold. Recently most of the Verts have gone into a QC hold since the early August production dates at or around the 10th. Those have since moved out after about 3 to 4 weeks in QC. It is clear that there must have been a part or issue that has required a new part to be ordered and received from the supplier to fix the problem prior to shipping. You are right at that period in which I would expect to see the release and movement from QC. GM does not ever disclose what the issue really was so as not to draw attention to something that is not an issue on other cars. This type of situation is normal however it is rare. The main difference is that the New GM will not ship a vehicle until it meets the high standards established for quality. Sorry I don’t have any more information or detail for you. Mostly we only see the data and trends established by tracking multiple vehicles and understanding on how production processes work. Keep watching and I am sure you will see something in the way of movement very soon. More than likely it will be preceded by another 4b00 right before you see the 4200 shipped status.

My 45th vert was also stuck in QC for a couple of weeks without any explanation. The dealer didn't have a clue either. But it eventually showed up and so will yours! I do wonder what it was being held for???

I wanted to get the tape fix on mine, but when I dropped it off the dealer said the TSB had disappeared and was no longer available.

Honestly,
It's a convertible. What do you expect? Not being rude or disrespectful, but this is the kind of stuff that just happens. It's part of being a 'vert owner IMO.

I completely understand wear marks happening over years of use, but not over a few weeks of use to the point of wearing a hole in the top. I've owned a convertible Camaro before and the top looked great after years of service.

Hey Guys,
Long time no speakie too. We all know the issues I had on just getting my vert with it taking so long to just get to me while some of you guys past me up on delivery. I have the same rub marks on my passenger side and have just been waiting for a fix. I haven't even gotten the A/C recall taken care of. On the drivers side rear window the motor makes a very loud noise as it goes up and down. Sooooo, I've decided to go to the dealer at the end of the week and have these issues looked at.
I really wasn't worried about the a/c since it is a vert and I very rarely go anywhere with the top. Same thought process for the top and rub marks. The noisy window annoys me. I too spent 45k on this car, still love it, but want it right. If it doesn't get taken care of in a proper manner, I still have the VIP customer service Rep I dealt with during the delivery debacle. She said to contact her if any other issues arise. Phone in hand ready with the speed dial.

My left rear window was noisy....the dealer took the side out of the rear and found that the rivets weren't good holding the regulator to a plate causing a type of chattering sound....the whole unit had to be ordered and replaced....window is quiet now....goood luck...

Why do people keep posting stuff like this. Holes being worn thru your top after only a few weeks on a $40K+ car is not the "kind of stuff that just happens." I don't know what kind of convertibles you have owned in the past but I have had two and the tops looked brand new years later after I bought them.

The tape has stopped the rub marks on mine but the anchors above the rear side windows were improperly set when the top was replaced so a new top is being installed today under the watchful eye of many people. Hopefully this is the end of the saga for me

Well mine goes in for the new top tomorrow. Talked to the guy today and he is stoked and promised me all would be fine. He has been doing interior and tops for 30 years so I have faith. At least it will sit for 6 months with it up this winter and not folded up. I will post up before and after pics for comparison.

BS, my 69 vert top lasted for more than 10 years before I replaced it and it was a lot worse of a design !

SUX2BU, the most recent documentation that I have is actually from yesterday. If you'd like just direct message me with the different issues you've got with your tops and I'll see if there is documentation on it. Hope this helps.
