I would like to to get a feel for what is going on out in the real world.
I am going to compile this data and make a spread sheet out of it and see if we can get some percentage of the owners on here what is going on.

I have a 2012 and my top is getting replaced.

1. Yes - Rub marks on both sides, some folding / creases
2. hah, good one.
3. No - waiting for them to get their $#!% figured out (funny that guys who chime in an give hope around here from GM (i.e. fbodfather) have been silent on this one)

I have the pinch/wear marks, but the top is tight, no wrinkles, no air noise, and dont think it leaks. So I am waiting for a perm fix from "Generous Motors" before I take it back in. It has been documented!

1: How many of you have top problems? I have couple of small rub marks and some wind noise coming from back window at 60 + MPH

2: How many of you do not have top problems?

3: How many have had their top replaced? Not yet.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet? I have not had the dealers look at my top.I am waiting for a permanent fix from GM.It seems from all of the threads that the replacement tops are worse than the original tops.

5: What model year do you have? 2011-born April 26,2011

Wow this thread is still going. Glad to see it although I stopped tabulating a while ago. Might have to dig out that sheet again and start it up. By no means quit posting your results to the informal poll. If you read through it most convertibles are having issues to one extent or another. I should post this again and include the bow #5 issue. Anyone up for me doing it again?

The only visibile marks of any kind are when I've had the top down there are wrinkles in the C-Pillar area which go away after a couple of weeks. Haven't had the top down in 2 months, however.

No problems. 2012 SS, built 08/11, bought 11/28/11. I've only owned it 6 weeks. Top has been up and down 8 or 10 times since I bought it.

Thanks for having the survey. I intended to post a question this morning asking if top problems are inevitable for everyone sooner or later. This survey is probably the only way to get that information.

I have wear marks on both sides, a small hole developing over the passenger windown. When I put it down (very rarely now due to winter in CO) I fold a hand towel and slide it in when the top is about 3/4 down and then set it down the rest of the way. Kind of a PITA to do every time, but the hole isnt getting any bigger) Dealer and GM was notified of the issue, and the service manager the dealership I go to for service even agreed that waiting is the best option right now. Evelyn was built in Feb. 2011.

+1, still no problems to date. Top not down since Nov when 60F+ degree afternoons went away. Looking forward to April 15th, that's usually the day when 60F+ weather returns to New England. Did have a dream about driving with the top down, though.

Not worth driving to FL in the meantime.

2011 SS/RS built in March 2011. I am currently on top number three (have less than 500 miles on top 3, have rub marks and very bad wind noise). Car was put away for the winter back in late October, have been in discussion with dealer about continued problems (dealer has been very good to deal with). Love the car, just getting a little (ok a lot) old having to deal with the top problems.
