If this becomes production I hope they don't keep it the 1LE... I want a Z28.

Not bad, but in order to be worthy of the 1LE name or even a Z28 and differentiate it from the SS and be “It’s an all-out race car package..." it needs to lose weight more than anything else. Replace front fenders, hood, trunk, door steel w/ composites, lose the rear seats, lose some sound deadening.

Because those buttons control Performance Traction Management first and foremost, as you adjust the PTM the Suspension adjusts with it. They probably won't do the same thing or even exist in the Auto ZL1 as PTM is a Manual Exclusive Feature along with Launch Control or at least that's what the leaked dealer info says.

I like everything about it including the fender stripes (though they need to be on both sides). I would buy this even if it was called 1LE. With the little performance things they've added it would definitely outperform an SS. If they decide not to build a fifth gen Z28 this would definitely hold me off till the sixth gen. This really needs to see production, but I'm waiting for the Z-diehards to chime in that this car isn't Z28 worthy.

Second of all, ShowCars are created to gauge customer interest/intent...and foster feedback, be it + or -... Third of all, by the time a ZEE arrives, it'll likely be based on a 1SS chassis...perhaps with 2SS Trim as an option. Personally, put the Base cloth/non-powered seat from the LS in this one, save some weight, shave some co$t...paint it Black-on-Black, hold the stripes, slap an LS7 in there where it belongs...and I'll pick it up next Tuesday! |

Do you understand how it works? You remove things like pwer windows and power seats, they're going to have to use other part like manual windows and seat levers to replace them. Items that are currently not in the parts bin. Hence = added cost. |

For a new performance model to be added to the Camaro lineup this car would fit perfectly between ZL1 and SS. Everybody wants an LS7 or some new type of engine, but that would put it right near the price of the ZL1. Call it Z28, 1LE or whatever, if this car is available for under 42k, I'll get one.

I like the red/matte black look but it seems incomplete in the back with the chrome exhaust tips and chrome taillight surrounds. To complete the look the surrounds need to be matte black and the tips need to be matte/flat black or black chrome. This would complete the red/matte black theme. If it were my ride, I'd look aftermarket to do it.
Anyone with photoshop skills that could take that rear shot with black taillight surrounds and matte black tips or black chrome tips? Thanks!!!

I say keep they should keep the power windows and air conditioning, I think its a must on any car nowadays. Even if the "future supposed Z28" is a track car, people still may use it as a DD.
If they are going to make this car a Z28 in the future, I think they need to change it up a bit. It looks too close to a ZL1 IMO. My ideal Z28: -19" black mesh lightweight wheels - low wing spoiler - lightweight racing seats - full carbon fiber hood and trunk - track pack suspension kit - about 480-500 hp - whatever other weight they can take out without losing the air and power windows - $45k base
