Gas I would be worried they put in some low octane regular...but I WOULD NOT want them to wash it...2 words..SWIRRRRLLLLLL MARRKKSSSS..not to mention some dealerships use the old school drive through wash with the big long hanging things that can easily store dirt and rocks that will rape that fresh paint...you should enjoy christening your baby with the first wash..not pass that honor to a lot porter that makes $8 an hr..

Why is it that everyone can't think like you Scott? Things would be a little smoother in life if they could just THINK Dammit.

Thanks for the great support,
Ivan

My sales man asked if I wanted a free tank of gas before we got ready to ride out. I told him hell yeah. So we roll down there to the station, and guy proceeds to put in Regular Unleaded.

I flipped the **** out. Told him..."DOODE! I'm dropping $30k plus and you're trying to save what? a couple bucks by not putting Premium in?"

Guy had the sack to say that "the car could have either Regular or Premium in it because Chevy built it to accomidate either."

I hastily said, it would be Premium or nothing. He filled it with Premium and I later asked him where he had been misinformed of the Regular Unleaded being viable. I had taken my owners manual home the night before and nowhere had I seen anything like that.

Dude was floored and thought that you could put either in. I'm wondering how many Camaros went out with Regular since he's the dealerships "recognized Corvette and Camaro" salesman.

Prolly won't be there much longer I'd reckon.

It may not sound to your liking, unless previously requested, but regular is absolutely 100% perfectly fine. Doesn't mean you don't have a right to request it, but alas, your salesperson wasn't really wrong in saying what they did...they were right.

With there being an entire thread/sticky on fuse pulls because cars got lower octane and don't perform right saying that regular is perfectly fine doesn't seem like a very true statement...

My dealer gave me a gas ticket and I got to fill mine up myself.. I could have put any grade in it i wanted to.. but since I have the V6, regular was good enough.. It took 15.6 gallons to fill it up...

Hopefully taking delivery in the next couple weeks.
For those that took delivery, is there anything that you wish the dealership did or did not do during their PDI?

their were only TWO things that I stated they MUST DO or the car was theirs, and both are on the form Scotty has provided us......I used it, gave 2 copies to the dealership, one to my salesman, one to the salesmanager....had BOTH of them sign them, and the copies placed uin my file.....They had the forms way before the car ever arrived. those two things were:
1. DO NOT INSTALL THE FRONT PLATE HOLDER
2. DO NOT INSTALL A DEALER STICKER/LABLE OF ANY KIND ON THE CAR.

Sorry I forgot to add, that is not on CamaroScotty original list.

Sir Nuke, yeah those I definitely will include.
