Will have to work on videos again. The camera was in some kind of super speed mode? Will have to figure out how to record normal speed. I can say in sport mode with the Nannys on from a dead stop the tires smoke. Worse with the button held in till both lights come on.

I am looking between VVT2, VVT3, or conversion. I actually like the drive-ability with just basic bolt ons... do you think it maintained the quality or a bit more surging from a stop?

Lol, not used to it, the car rocks and its loud. My feet went numb. Over 50 mph the car is not loud. Driving normal, lol. The RMP's go up and down under 50 mph.

I went with a VVT-3 because it has performed very well at the track. Why are you doing the conversion?

That's what I seen. This car is insane now! We have to figure out what to do with the traction! The stock tires are on it now. I told him 18"s in the rear this spring.

Has he tried a hard launch yet? How bad is traction? This is my DD, so I just cant see myself spending the money for slicks, but I probably will go wider on my next set of after market wheels..

As for the rough idle, does it ever get annoying? I may go for the VVT2.. I want that sweet lope, but not sure I want all the shake for a DD.

Kaler, Based on your signature, your car as as fast as a stock ZL1 manual. That is not bad for L99 with a cam and Pzeros. I bet it sounds a lot better too.

No he has just tried "S" mode Floored from a dead stop and the tires spin, has the P zeros on it now. Has not tried holding the break yet. Not sure how it is with the Nt05 DR's. Trying to get him to get the 18's this spring when his gets his Taxes done. I have to get used to the shake, fine over 50 mph. If u live in a big city I would look in to a smaller cam IMO

Less likely to break anything.

As many people mention: less moving parts = less problems.
VVT is a little more complex and I just don't trust it.. not being in the US and all. I know the ls3 swap is proven and won't give me any problems in 2-3 years.

The vettes will most likely come with VVT in the near future as well as cylinder deactivation. I have heard of LS3's blowing because of a cam but have yet to hear of an L99 with a VVT cam to blow. As long as it is installed by a professional I don't see what there is to fear about VVT. It's def proven on the track and to be reliable.
