Frank, I think this would be a fantastic option for the occasional weekend warriors that aren't going extreme one power, but have been starting to shy away from the track because of fear of breaking and don't want the larger investment. I think there's a good market for these - especially since some warranties will be expiring soon, and given the option of replacing with OEM or your better ones for less.... it becomes an obvious choice.

Will the axles by them selves be enough to keep the rear end together with 600rwhp on a DD (however, its a very hard driven DD) non track car? I have avoided the track because my car is in the dreaded "half shaft zone" where they snap like crackers if you look at them sideways. (2010 LS3 Vin under 22K)

I can speak for the Diff but the axles will definitely hold at that, they way the car is launched will have a very large Effect on how the Diff will hold up. When launching if you were to drag the clutch just a little so there is a little load on the Drivetrain it would save allot of parts back there.

Frank - what's the additional weight incurred by the steel driveshaft vice the aluminum or carbon fiber? Also, the cardboard dampening...can you expand on this a bit?

there is no real way around the shaft being heavier than the others, the Aluminum is about 20 with the plates and the Carbon 18lbs. i would guess the Steel to be in the 23lbs range. as for the Cardboard it would be put in so the steel tube does not ring like a bell from the gears.

Understood - didn't expect there to be any weight savings over the aluminum or CF..just curious on your thoughts for the weight of the steel.

Either way...definitely interested in the axles and the driveshaft.

Ok, we have decided to move ahead with this project, we will have samples out in a few weeks and will have a contest for the people that will try them out. Who has been real hard on axles or didn't want to launch hard because they were afraid. I'm looking for a few cars that will test them to the level we need them to handle. ill be away for a few days so lets post up some info on the cars and we can ll decide on who should test them.

I've got some of your earlier 1000hp axles in the car (by Hendrix), but I'd give a set hell if you need a high profile tester. Race season starts March 3
