Thank you to all of our friends in Canada. I'm sure everyone is happy to have you on the team.
Can our Canadian friends please stop booing our national anthem at sporting events.

I was all gung-ho about our Canadian friends until this started. This is the one (and only) thing that makes it hard to be happy about our babies being built there.

I won't mind it being built there, Oshawa is pretty close to the US anyway. It'll help them buy some Molson or Labatt Blue. But if our money was going over to Asia, then they'd use the money against us to run us out of business!

i have wanted a new Avalanche since the redesign, but absolutely refuse because its made in Mexico. so, i bought a new Silverado from Fort Wayne, IN instead..........i still want my Avalanche!

because there is no substitution for the Camaro, i swallowed my pride, and ordered one. nothing against Canada, but it does piss me off that the American Muscle Car isn't made in the US. at least it's still North American!

sorry, but i beleive if you need my tax dollars, you shouldn't be allowed to make ANYTHING outside the US. Canada would be the exception because Canada has handed out mony too. here in WI, Chrysler is shutting down 2 engine plants and sending the work overseas......after getting 8 billion in US taxpayer money.........

Jesus H Christ ... I knew it was just a matter of time before someone here would make some type of comment about the Camaro being built in CANADA !! So where do i go to turn in my brand new 2009 Chev Malibu that was built in Mich USA !!!!! oh my god ..its american ...i can't be driving that , NO SIR ..We cannot allow that. I guess i'll vote to pull our troops out of Afganistan and not do any more work with American Troops.

Do you guys see how stupid this thread is turning into !! For the record i fully support American/Canadian relations , I also helped raise money from Canadian GM workers after 9/11 to be sent to the EMS families and our union (CAW )sent Canadian BIG 3 union workers to help rebuild homes after Katrina at our own expense... So for all of those " Lets bash Canada " types out there please do some research before making dumb comments. Thank You.

I never thought twice about buying this car. I've always thought of Canada & USA as one.

Not so with Mexico though.

What is he driving now?

I would not be afraid to buy anything from our neighbors to the north. So the say "eh" alot. So their field goal posts are on the goal line. Big deal.

Extreme Nationalism is overrated. In this Global Society we have today, we all depend on each other (current recession is proof). And like someone else has already stated, GM is a US company, so all those dollars are flowing back to us anyway, UNLIKE all these Toyota and Honda plants right here in the US. But if it bugs you guys that much, thats cool, cancel your orders, the rest of us will just laugh as we drive by in the Camaro you COULD HAVE had!

I for one am proud of the men and women of the Oshawa plant that built this car for us. The fact that they are Canadian makes me even prouder.. especially this marks Canada's contribution to rebirth of GM.
