To answer some questions, yes the color is metallic and very close to a Candy Red color with small paint chips. It was very overcast all day so none of the pictures show off it's brilliance. These were the first two cars brought into the show room and you can see the guys still laying tile in the background. The floor was not clean at all and had footprints and dust from the on going construction. With a clean floor, the pictures would have looked like a mirror. No one realized about the reflection until my wife took the pictures and showed us. Everything that you that you were going to enjoy about the car, just increase it ten fold and you might get close. The sound is truly intoxicating. It is far more than I ever hoped it would be. For those waiting, the wait is definitely worth the pain. For those that have received theirs, it is really hard keeping it under 80MPH and 4000RPM. The car just begs you to stomp on it, like it craves the speed. They should have put a warning on the car prior to purchase:
"THIS CAR IS HOOKED ON SPEED"

Which transmission did you get manual? How does the tranny react during shifts smooth?

Sorry, yes I got the manual transmission and do not regret it one little bit. The clutch is light and very easy to feather if need be, like entering a tight fitting garage. I am used to the very loud side pipes on the Corvette to tell me when I had to shift. There were a couple of times already when I had to remind myself to shift because it was so quiet. There is no supercharger whine so nothing takes away from the sound of the exhaust, but at cruise you really do not hear very much at all. The shifter is very smooth, light and precise. I had to move the Corvette over a little bit to make some more space for the Z and instantly felt how clunky and archaic it felt. I have noticed on the 5th to 6th shift, I have to put a little pressure to the outside, towards the drivers side because the shifter wants to come back to the neutral position. The shift knob has a wonderful curved feel to it that fits my hand perfectly. If you are considering the suede package but are not sure, fall off of your wallet and buy it, you won't regret it at all. Both the suede wheel and the gear shifter give back a wonderful feeling of confidence. I hope this helps.

Great Thank You so much! I have not driven a manual since my 77 trans am. But when I tried the manual SS (cold weather) certain gears were difficult to engage. But I heard on the other forums that some were having similar problems with certain gears, plus it being very cold I'm sure that had something to do with it as well. I really want the manual for this car and was on the fence concerning the suede.
