to be honest.. I think everyone will want to get the max gain with the insulator. There has been a few review without the 25mm such as sstreetking. Look at a few post back.

it will still work. only issues i would foresee are turbulence due to mismatch of the ports from the ported IM to ICE-olator (unless it was sent in with the IM) and then to the heads. remember, the ICE-olator is matched to the OEM gasket (which is bigger than the cylinder head) vs port match to the cylinder head itself. having a smooth transition between each piece is critical to maintaining good air flow and velocity for maximum gains.

My understanding is the black ice is matched to the gasket. And so is the Ported Manifold. So it should be a good match.

aaron is right. if you already have the iceolator than you have nothing to worry about. iceolator is already gasket matched per say. so when you gasket match the IM than you have a iceolator that don't need any tweaking which will lay right over the gasket matched IM. It all work or we will make it work.

right on...yeah, i wasn't certain on how aggressive the poring on the IM was, and matching it up with the OEM gasket makes sense. you'll want to match up you're heads to the ICE-olator as well to smooth everything out. easy day!

Anyone know where I can pick up a stock IM for a good price? I really can't spare the down time of my car as it is my daily driver, so I'm hoping I can buy a cheap stock IM that I can send for porting then switch it out. I guess the other option is to lay down the $300 deposit core charge but I had read that some people had managed to buy a stock one outright for around $100 - I'd also prefer to keep my stock one in case I ever sell the car or need to take it to the dealer for work....

You'll just have to wait and look in the classifieds section. The cheapest one can be had for is about 214 from gmt parts house. If i remember correctly that is

Does anyone know if the manifold and spacer would have an effect on MPG, one way or the other?
I have a ported throttle body, and I assume that will bolt up just fine.
???

My mpg actually went up by 4.

The cheapest you are going to did find used IM is between 150-175. I already tried
Try to google "used auto parts" and enter many sites. look for cadillac CTS or STS 2009-2010 and make sure is engine code LLT Not LY7. you ate going to get tons of parts offer. I know Saratoga used auto part has one for 175.

Seriusly, Just buy new for 220 shipped and resell which you shouldn't have a problem with. or.... just find a way to drive someone else's car for a few days. I got mine back in 2 days from the time I shipped my OEM. They are having another 10% off special until tuesday I believe.

The bmorecam and mace crossram porting IM with the 25mm is a freaking killer!! my VQ guys couldn't believe the difference. They are bombarding MACE and jay right bow
