Travis,

Call Apple customer support. Both my wife's and my Iphone's have had bluetooth issues. Her's is having them again. Depending on when you bought your phone, they will send you a "loaner phone" until yours is fixed and returned.

My wifes phone is constantly disconnecting or failing to find her headset.

I had mp3 cd's[each had 150 or so songs on each of them] and it took about 5 minutes for one of them to index. The radio actually came on during the process- like the head unit knew it was gonna take awhile so it played some tunes while you waited!!
Same here - when I get mine next year, I'd like it to not have to re-index every time I start the car. This should be a software matter - there's got to be SOME way to make it so it doesn't re-index constantly.

Could we be looking at one thing the Challenger has better- the MYGIG set up with the hard drive? Maybe Chevy can put a 100 gig flash drive into the radio next year or something to that effect.....

From what I understand the USB should only have to index each time you plug in the flash drive, I am using a 16gb flash at the moment.

The current issue is, the stereo does not notice the flash drive is in the USB slot after you shut the car down and restart it, hence a re-index.

I am taking the car to the dealer next week, i'll keep you posted.

FYI, my VIN ends in 104510

Thanks.

Has anyone determined how big a memory stick can be for the stereo to work correctly with it? On many phones, they only work properly with certain size memory cards. They do not work well with all brands either. Are you able to try a smaller size and different brand?

Travis- Edog might be on to something. Maybe the flash drive is too huge for the radio to remember everything. Not exactly sure why though- indexing should only be learning the song information- not the whole song file size.

Should be easy enough to test, using a 2Gb or 4GB drive. I'd do it, but... ....

I plugged my 30 gig Zune into the one at the dealers - it worked fine so I would think a USB drive of the same size should work just as fine...

I'll try a few different size sticks and a 120gb usb flash drive tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
