GM Dealership Closing List & Map (confirmed closures)

There are lists out there with dealers' names and some names are incorrect!!!

The list did not come from GM as we have not published a list and we don't intend to.

If I were one of those dealers - and someone was spreading a false rumor that I was closing, I'd be going after that/those person/persons with any and all legal forms of recourse.

What I'm saying to anyone on this site is this: UNLESS YOU KNOW and you have SEEN THE LETTER -- I would not be posting names!

Lest you all forget, there have been gestures made to help those of us that were / are stuck in "Area 51". There has been action taken on behalf of us... the Camaro5 members. We have also been given information by GM to make our frustration and anxiety diminish. This information is not normally available to the average consumer...

I don't think it's necessary to add fuel to a fire that's already burning just fine without it. If fbodfather made a request not to post dealer names... WHY would you ignore his request ?

As consumers... we fear that our dealer might close while keeping our deposit or (worse) our Camaro. That is a special circumstance, which MIGHT merit a "Heads Up" to the rest of us. Barring that... give it a rest !

And with the internet, there is no way to prove the origin of anything anyone posts...... so, with that in mind, the way rumours spread these days, it is in GM's and every dealer staying open and closing's best interest for an official list of every dealer staying OPEN. Publish a list of all dealers staying OPEN.

When high school basketball, football, and baseball teams make out their roster, they publicly publish those who MADE the team.

Seriously, GM needs to publish every dealer staying open.
