no ZL1 envy here,,,,but i did like the front end so much i installed one. as far as power goes i'm putting 581 to the rear wheels...i honestly would have rather started with a SS than the zl1...which i did although the zl1 wasnt out ,,,but for the price the zl1 is,,,would be too much since i like modding my car

What's after the Bugatti Veyron?

Because this was one of the statements in the OP "And those who have the V8 envy the ZL1?"

IMO the Gen 5 Camaro SS is the perfect car for a Chevy muscle car fan...Camaro's have always been modded and when I saw one could be had for the mid 30K sticker price with more aftermarket products than you could imagine I jumped at the chance to have the new version of the car I wanted back in the 80's (wanted a Gen 1 Camaro). I couldn't imagine buying this car in a V6 (that's just me) and I can't imagine spending 60K on Camaro ZL1...and then have to spend more money to mod it the way I would want it. The 30K price range for the product that the SS is is perfect...you get good baseline performance and the price is not so high that most can't afford to do some "extras". In summary...I hav to say that the OP's whole premise of everyone being envious is probably wrong...I think people choose which Camaro or whether they even buy a Camaro or not more for personal priorities and preferences than anything else.

I'm not envious of those with an SS, or a ZL1. I appreciate the cars and they're amazing... but I love my car
