They have 5...2 front/2 back/1 truck...but when I bought the car...the guy had an Xplod sound system in there...but since we lowballed the car (we paid $2k less!) he took that out. And we didn't notice he only put in the 2 front and 1 trunk speakers. Which was fine with me. I'm no stereo dude.

Now, if you add a sub+amp to the BA system, I'm willing to bet it will enhance your listening experience.

Your BA speakers wont have to work so hard to produce bass, and should sound more clear. Am I right? Does the stock head unit have a Sub adjustment setting built in?

As long as I can crank "In Flames" without any speaker farts, I'll be happy =)

As far as can tell, he's talking about the band In Flames. The best melodic death metal band around, in my opinion.

Yup!

Anyway, F-it I'll getting the BA system. I dont have time to f- around with buying/installing a new system.

Like it said. Maybe I'll add a sub/amp and have someone else install it.

Having spent a good amount of time in some pretty high end recording studios over the years, reading people review car stereo's makes me cringe!

Music is generally mixed and mastered to be optimized for the most common stereos. Spending thousands of dollars on sound equipment, especially for a car, just means that when you listen to a song, you're not getting the intended sound that the artist and producer (among other people) were going for.

Ever listen to Metallica on a normal stereo? The bass is buried so far back in the mix for a reason! They want you to hear the guitar, it's the focal point of the music. It cracks me up to hear someone have Sad But True cranked through a system with 2x12" subs. You're not supposed to hear THAT much bass. Jayson Newstead wasn't that good of a bass player! lol

not to down the camaros. but my fiancee has a rockford fosgate navi kit in her car with a 10 r/f sub in the back..her system absolutely with no comparison dominates the b/a in my camaro..i am soo utterly jealous of her sound system..im not one of those people who are crazy about bass and hooking up systems. but i love her system..im hoping that when the navi's come out in december for the camaros that i can order a new dash for mine and install the same exact system she has in her car. its a touch screen of course, but you put a cd and it instantly rips it to her car. and stores it forever unless you delete it. it took 20 secs give or take for her entire Queen cd. it can store 999 playlists. each playlist can have up to 999 songs..so thinking about it you do not under any circumstances need an ipod or any portable device..when i first seen it i was picking on her laughing that even though she has the touch screen navi i wish mine had i could use my zune or ipod through my radio and hers dont even have a hook up at all.not even a input jack for the male to male headphone jack..that was before i found out that her damned system was a gigantic mp3 player..im not sure but you may be able to save movies on there too..thats about the only thing im not sure of.

anyway does anyone know where the hookup is for the rear 2/12 subwoofer combos is. i was interested in putting that system in my car but there is no additional speaker plugins in the back..im very very good at hooking up stereos and speakers but i didnt want to splice wires and ruing the warranty for the electronics or radio system.im not going the mtx 12s combo, im going 1 rockford fosgate 10 like my fiancees. but im not sure where to plug it up at..anyone know???or does the damned dealer have to do it and charge me a ton for something i can do in my sleep while in a straigh jacket

I think the BA sounds freaking awesome. Bass thumps hard without any rattling noise and the music is crystal clear. 25 is effing LOUD. If you are turning it passed 35 you are hurting your eardrums and imo, just trying to look cool. This car is so badass you do not need to shake all the cars around you to get attention.

It's damn loud I love it! And I play my Metallica in my Camaro... amazing!

I'm not a pro-speaker guy but it does the job for me.

I'm pretty into music (recording engineer) and I got the BA system. Its great if you're into pop/rap, not so great for rock. There is a ton of punch in the low mid-range/high low-range and it actually makes it difficult to get a natural sound. The best I've been able to get is with my bass at 5 and treble at 10 and it sounds great for certain types of songs then a more pop'ish song comes on and I feel like I need to re-eq.

Its good and most people will probably love it but its a system thats designed to impress people at the dealership.
