Take care fellas and have fun!

What did you get?
I have two boosters in my car, just No shoes allowed!! Lol, so it's not bad at all!

THANKS!!!! cflbuckeye for the video, it was easy once I watched your video and knew where the clips were located, the blue plastic tools are definitely required. I bought my set from Northern tool for 6 bucks, and boy were they worth it. I had both my stock SS rockers off in less than 10 minutes without breaking any clips.

What everyone else has said. A great video made this install super easy. I did break the one clip on each side..the same clip as in your video. Did the job by myself in about an hour. Trim tool set from harbour freight was exactly what was needed.

I cant say thank you enough. Great job.

This was very helpful! I swapped mine out last night. Had video running on my IPad in shop! Took 30 mins to get first side off being so careful and unsure. Took 10 mins to do second side! I have a lift so car was at chest level...made it easier to see what was going on.

For removing the old clips after rocker was off I bought a player style tool that was meant for popping the clips out. Worked well. Used plastic tools like you showed that I got on eBay in a kit.

Finished result...

Did this the other night and the video was very helpful. I also read somewhere to use scissors to pinch the clips. I started from the rear and pulled just enough to see the clip then squeezed them with the scissors and they popped right out. After doing front to back on top I did the same on the bottom as the rocker hangs down to expose the bottom clips. Only issue I had was with the new rockers, some of the lower clips after putting the top clips in first. If had to do again I would put the lower clips in first.

How I did it may not be the right way, but I couldn't find a single video on it...so I hope what I have here is better then nothing for anyone looking to do this mod.

Reviving an old thread but I wanted to thank cflbuckeye for this great "how to" video. Just installed the ZL1 rockers on my LT2/RS and it was very easy once I had the right tools and the video.
