Only thing I hate with leather is how they hold in the heat during summer. If they had some type of AC that would cool down the seats I would be all for the leather. Why havent they come up with that yet?

They have. Take a look @ the CTS, it has both heated and cooled seats with micro fans that allow for chilled seating. However, this technology would prove too expensive for the Camaro's intended price bracket.

It's amazing!

Yea, they have "chilled" and "A/C" seats in many different cars, but all of them are considered luxury.

However, I think its a GREAT feature. I HATE HATE HATE the leather in our Malibu LTZ because it takes forever to cool down. |

It's easier to add leather down the road for 1200 than take it out after you paid $2800 for it in the 2ss.Its a sports car get the Boston accoustics and get rid of all that other electronic garbage that will cause headaches 5-10 yrs from now.

They are already coming out with the electronic crap in aftermarket and factory parts. leather is easy to add later. Dont matter what you say cloth will hold up better than leather, but leather does look nice. I might have been swayed to get just leather, but didnt want the other crap in it. I would have been more open to spending 3k more if Gm would have put performance options on it, like a charger or somethng. But this is a camaro not a caddilac.

My take on this is, I'd rather have the leather, but I am going for the 1SS to save money. Afterall, the only things that come with the 2SS that you can't just upgrade on the 1SS I believe is the USB port/steering wheel controls.
I could GET leather for the 1SS - custom at that. I could GET the acrylic trim panels for the 1SS, and I can get the 4-pack gauges. The rest I think I could live without. I'd rather finance less of the whole car and save for extra parts than finance a bigger chunk of money and get the extra parts in that. Less pressure on my shoulders. Afterall... 1SS or 2SS... the outside of the car still looks exactly the same, and that's all that matters to me. :P |

I went with a 1SS. I love all the extras on the 2SS but I despise leather in cars, to hot here in Florida.

Leather all the way, unless you are a lazy f*** and won't take care of it. The last car i had cloth in was a 1980 Trans Am

Leather if maintained every once in a while will last alot longer and look better than cloth.

thats hilarious!Anyhow...leather for me. It will be a nice upgrade from my 93 Chevy truck with cloth. I hace to say that my cloth interior in my truck has help up amazingly! Only a little wear in the drivers seat... So if i wasnt too enthusiastic about leather I would pick cloth...But since I like all the gooddies of the 2SS and the leather...seems like a perfect choice! |
