Pulling fuse 13 or the battery should do the same thing along with removing fuse 20. Since the TSB doesn't state how long to leave the fuses out my thought is that there isn't a charge being stored. One would assume the TSB would have mentioned it if there was. But without actually being able to test that I'd leave them out overnight just to make sure.

I'm certainly not an expert on this. Like hapisok posted above, HP Tuners is where I got most of my initial information. Chris (HP Tuners) described briefly how this works and that made me realize I could watch it happening.

Check out the thread beginning with post #27. I'm not sure how the trinity works.

Despite scanning other parameters I was only concerned with cylinder airmass, rpm, spark, knock retard, and knock learn factor.

I don't suppose you know anyone with HP tuners that can do a before and after fuse pull scan? We would really like to see if the L99 is able to learn back to the high octane timing like the LS3.

No problem. I'd really like to do this again, but instead of driving out the relearn, this time check the fuse thing or see if using the reset fuel trims feature of the HP Tuners would somehow work as well. That said, I'm not really up for trying it again...yet.
