Theres no way that thing is only 500hp. That engine is BUILT compared to an LS7. I think the OP is a lot closer with his guess of 750whp. I have 500whp and my car will not run sub 10s like this one! Watch that video of Dave Connelly in Grumpys COPO. 425whp does not lift the front end off the ground like that! Lol! Congrats on the car man, that thing is beautiful.

That's a real HP number, GM is telling you the HP at 4000RPM what they are not telling you is the HP number at 6000RPM which is probably more like 650 - 700HP taking some guesses here. They played that game back in the 60's with the 302 camaro which was advertised 290HP at 5800RPM and at 7000RPM they were making around 350HP...
