But really...where is the market ? It's huge and it will be very very expensive and will that CVT transmission be reliable ?
From a gadget/novelty point of view it is fantastic. I just cant see the real world usage for it. And will the CVT respond fast enough for high powered cars where the engine will accelerate very quickly ? How will it cope with gear changes etc ?
Procharger is a large well known company. I am sure that they would not put out a CVT that could not respond as fast as their procharger can. Now this may end up being something that is not offered in their F-1 series, I don't know. We trully won't know any off this though until they put it out.

The market would be to those people who are willing to pay the extra amount to be able to change and control their boost on a supercharger. Most likely someone who wants the most out of a 750-850 rwhp without putting that extra money into and F-1 and upping the HP much more than that. Then again that also depends on which procharger series this will be available on (or recommended for). Not saying it will be worth it to all people, but there is a big enough market out there of people like that to make this worth building! I know I'm not looking to put over 850 (700-750 in reality for me) max to the growned, but being able to control my boost to make the most out of the smaller procharger I would buy would be awesome.

Again price, numbers, real world testing pending to see if this is worth it or not. Until then is all speculation.
