I agree, with richohet, I would be dissapointed to see another car on the road they way I originally wanted.

If it were me as much as it would blow, I'd get them to give me back my deposit and go to another dealership to place another order for what I really wanted. The wait will suck to have to start all over, but can be done. We should know DH and I kinda had to do this when we were told by our original dealer that as soon as they could they would place our order for a 2SS R/S package black Camero that we ordered back in October. We kept up on the dealer asked all the right questions and just found out on Mother's Day that said dealer didn't even get any allocations from GM. The new GM dealership Castriota felt so bad for us they gave us thier last allocation on 5/11 and now we have a order number and our car is in the broadcast status. Plus, the guy I there at Castroita helped us and I beleive we ordered a better car than we did the first time around! So, re-ordering can be done, don't waste time though do it ASAP.

I have had my 2SS 3 weeks now and would not give up the RS package for NOTHING! It was not a big deal when ordering but now that you see it, its great. Get what you want. You dont want to be kicking yourself latter.

For those who think the RS package isn't a real big deal or isn't worth the money, here's a pic of Waldo as he and I pulled into the Buffalo airport to pick up some friends. This is BY FAR one of my favorite Waldo pictures. It just would NOT be the same without the RS package...

I actually went to Rutland for kindergarten in the early 70's before becoming a CHEESEHEAD... Before Bill Walsh, it was Sierra Motors....My family always bought there, and I have many cousins who have done business with the BW Chevy dealership. And I have a Walleye tournament fishing cousin in Yorkville - and another doing the weather on WFLD

Insane. 2 nights ago I had a dream that my car had arrived. I went to pick it up and guess what, no RS package. I woke up pissed off.I hope this actually doesn't happen to me.

I thought I'd try to cheer you up a bit if you decide to reorder...nothing says trouble like first-runs...maybe your second go-round will reward you with a 100% trouble free car!) I'm not saying there will be trouble...but, I'm an automotive engineer...and you sound like a realist

My two cents - get the car w/the RS - while the roof moldings may be 'cheap' to paint - you'll risk scratching the roof getting them off, color match (minor), and paint quality match - same w/the wheels - once you lose that electroplating coat it's never the same... To me - the cost of the RS kit is less than what I think the HIDs would cost me open market later ($960 would be a deal for HID's, halos, tail lights, etc.)
One more thing - I'm not sure if you are getting employee pricing, but maybe that is something you could work out with your dealer and GM. After all, your dealer will get full price for the car you don't take, so they're just selling two instead of one...just a thought.

Like they say, one picture is worth a thousand words, or $1,200! Sounds like you made your decision to re-order - good for you. The wait time (again) compared to the years regretting not getting exactly what you want is no comparision.

Sure it is. Turn the switch (spring loaded) to the left and release to turn off auto headlights then click it one click to the right to turn on only the halos.

Same thing happend to me order RS package seen the workbench order as it was summited to gm. Invoice showed up without RS package. Car showed up without RS package. Infact GM some how dropped all RS packages off of all the camaros order at the dealership. Gm had a case number already on it and when we told them my car was already on the way all they said was they would build me another one that they promised I could have in 4 months. Already sick of waiting since oct. I decided no way im not waiting my luck in 4months it will be snowing. Damn MN weather lol. How about some free accessories or something and yea basicly got the shaft cuz im a GM employee they wouldnt do it. Real sweet gm.... But hey the car is amazing!!!
