Do you have a picture of the curve? Seems that if there is neglect on the part of the city you may want to show them what happens to people because of the poor design of the curve. They usually grate the surfaces on bad corners down our way. Maybe your accident can be used for something positive, like preventing wreck #29.

Good you are safe. Post some pics from the car after is fixed. If not totaled.

That is my fear with the Summer tires on mine. I'll be driving VERY slow here soon.
