L99 slow? Come take a ride in my SS. Runs low 12's all day long. Haven't lost a race yet to a 5.0.

I had mine on a Mustang dyno and it did 494 RWHP and 2 weeks after that put it on a Dynojet and did 568 RWHP. You can't go off of the dyno machine. To get your real results you got to take it to the track..

The L99 does feels slow if your previous car was quicker and lighter. My previous car was a low 12 second 3400 lb 4th gen so yeah my stock L99 felt very slow. After my mods my L99 doesnt feel slow anymore but it doesnt FEEL as fast as it actually is. The weight and gearing of the L99 makes it feel slower than it actually is.

MY LS3 was 377.6 stock 425.6 HP on Livernois dyno jet after Headers/ cats cold air with there tune. (48 hp gain. Its the before and after that counts.) Dyno jets really very a lot. 415 seems average for a LS3.

absolutely, even riding in a bolt-on 4l60e Ls1 car, it just "feels" a lot faster than mine... then we line them up and reality sets in, these 3900lb cars move out pretty good with some bolt-ons and tuning...
