Maybe? I mean you don't need to calibrate anything when you retrofit the reverse mirror - but I dunno.

I'm sure you'll figure it out - you got the MyLink working

Just post the DIY when you're done.

a new unit needs to be programmed with this feature if the car has camera.
I suppose a car without camera need to be reprogramed I don't know. that is why the head unit needs to be programmed for things like these.
the mirror comes ready

Yes if your Mylink radio doesn't switch to the reverse screen when you put the car in reverse then the radio needs to be reprogramed at the dealership to enable this function. I had to pay the dealership $115 to enable this function. kind of annoying that GM decided to do it this way because once its programed there is an option to disable the backup camera function but I guess GM wanted to make sure that the customer had to spend more money later if they decided to add a feature instead of being able to go in and enable an option once they added the hardware.

thank you. the only thing that I had to do that was a PITA to figure out was which cable on the BCU was the reverse trigger which I will run back out and take a picture so others don't have an issue finding it like I did. after an hour of searching the internet with no results I finally just had to go out and start checking with my good old FLUKE multi meter till I located the correct cable.

here is the picture that I promised. its the greenish cable with the red connector and arrow pointing to it. This I located on the driver side above the brake pedal and above the floor air vent.
