They are - I have them on mine.

I didn't have, but they did a refresh of the software when I last took it in and now I have the symbols.

I'd prefer guide lines though

I have the symbols on mine as well. I would still like the addition of grip lines.

Did they do a refresh of your software or were the symbols already in there when you purchased the car? I agree we need the guidelines but these symbols are better than what I have now...nothing.

As far as I know the lines have nothing to do with software, I installed a front camera from e-bay china, $8.00, and it displays on my link display 2013 Zl1, no line on b/u, lines on front cam, I tried 3 different cheap cams and the all have lines, some all blue and others red, green and yellow. It would be an easy thing to change the b/u cam except that you have to remove the rear fascia.

99% sure it's the camera.

It is 100% dependent on the Camera.

Just called my local dealer to get information on whether a 2015 camera can be installed in a 2013 in order to get the guidance lines. Also asked about the cost. He said he will get back to me.

My local dealer said GM informed him you can not purchase the 2015 backup camera. Only way you can get it is to buy a 2015 Camaro. This sounds like BS to me. Why would they not sell you an infotainment part? Doesn't make any sense. They sell you anything else from newer model cars in bits and pieces. Our backup cams might be the only ones on the planet without the lines. If anything this is a safety issue and they should be recalling these cams and replacing them for free.

I have purchased a Kenwood CMOS rear view camera and will have it installed on Monday morning. I've seen it connected to an HDTV and the picture is beautiful. It has green, yellow and red guidelines. You have the option of removing the lines which, of course, I will not do since that is the reason I am buying it. The camera is also adjustable manually up and down. If GM doesn't want the business then so be it.

The easiest thing to do is just swap out the camera for one that has guidelines built in.
