The OEM companies don't "design" brake rotors. That is one reason there is an aftermarket industry, they are sometimes able to improve on an OEM choice on a particular product. The OEM's have to consider overall costs of the vehicle. I have had excellent results from Racing Brake rotors.

I had no idea you guys don't have any other options... You may want to talk to Bruce Raymond (Ramond's Performance) out of Indy. He's a sponsor here. He's got a shop that will slot rotors. He's done it on a few CTSV fronts that he runs on his optima challenge camaro.
when you went with the CTS-V Calipers and ZL1 Rotors did you swop out the Rear SS Rotors as well to Match with the Fronts?

Aside from paint job the rear set up on an SS and a ZL1 are identical.

HmmmCause I'm being told while doing the CTS-V Swop you have to upgrade the Rear Calipers as well because ZL1 or CTS-V Rotors won't fit the Rear SS Caliper. & of course I need the Front and Rear Calipers to Match.....

IDK who's telling you that but aside from looks they are the same. When I did mine I bought a full set of CTS-V calipers off of eBay stripped the pistons and seals out of them and then had them powder coated with a 1LE logo. The rear rotors are the same.

Actually if I can remember correctly the First and second Gen CTS-V uses the same (with the exception that the first gen is a 6 lug) as the Camaro SS and the Chevy SS (Chevy SS has a different ebrake drum though) the G8 GXP has the same fronts as a fifth gen Camaro.

I just did a brembo swap on the wife's G8 GT and essentially it used the CTS-V calipers and Camaro rotors. There's a few other things but this is a Camaro forum... LoL

So I can Purchase a Full Set of Slotted/Drilled 4 Rotors w| Pads & they'll go on Just Fine w| SS Rear Calipers and CTS-V Front Calipers w| the obvious front modifications?

No you need rears off of an SS/ZL1 and the fronts are ZL1/CTS-V specific. As far as I know there aren't a lot of options for the from just yet. I'm actually looking into that now since I need new pads and rotors.

Something I've never thought to do until now is to search for rotor options under the Second Gen CTS-V... This might yield some decent results... BRB

I just got off the phone with Stoptech/Centric. They have one piece plain or slotted and slotted two piece options.

Give me a few minutes to process the info.

Well first off, all kinds of stuff has changed in the last 2 years since I did this swap...

Go to AutoPartsWarehouse.com and enter a 2013 ZL1 and wait for 3 pages of options.

I'm going to investigate the 2pc Slotted options. That have replaceable rings. I'll get back to you in a few.
