I did mine a few back as well.. I love it when the service guys get in the car and look for the clutch.

Able to, yes, will they, probably not. It takes less than an hour with the right tools. Less than 2 taking your time. If I can do it, trust me, you can do it.

I Just did mine and it looks great I also put on the leather emergency brake boot.
Makes it look much more old school, and the great instutions from this site gave the me the confidence to do it.

I just installed mine finally, exact setup OP posted. Looks great, wasn't hard and that allegedly hard part with the two white clips took like 2 seconds for me, and I even did it with a hard straw; really easy in my opinion

I bought the wrong boot. I ordered the boot for 2010-2012 (#92247493) and i have a 2013 which i have as #24261473. is there any real difference in the parts or should i just exhange it for the correct one? i think i may also get the CFD adapter a bit later on too.

Just did this mod on my 2013 2LT. Gotta say the OP instructions were spot on. Did it on my lunch break. Took 30 minutes tops. Thanks to all the members here that contribute these DIY's. It's a great site with tons of info.

Here is a pic of my conversion.

Hurst Option ??

OK I'm in on this mod. Check this out.
I spoke to my local dealer, I want orange stitching, He gives me two numbers.

92247494

24258094.. Hurst Option (Boot is marked Hurst somewhere??? )

Same money really but what's the difference. Was there a factory short shifter Hurst option in the man trans and will this Hurst Boot fit the auto trans stick. If so I wanna Hurst boot for the oddity.

Thanks fellows!!!

I think this is what they are talking about, the logo is on the handle tho,not on the boot.

The Hurst logo is on the knob ad above stated. The 2010-2011 boot fits better. The manual knob and auto knob are similar in shape so it fits well. The 2012 up knobs have a small round opening which needs to be trimmed but the shape is off so not as clean.

I just completed this DIY! I concur, very well done! I got GM part number 24261473, it had a ring at the top of the boot. Guess I must have had a different application. I have a question though! Why does the boot not quite fit the opening in the center console? Are the manual transmission consoles different? I am just curious. Thanks everyone!
