Your parts will come soon enough.
Just like the guy said the window sticker is your protection and your receipt that you paid. If it were me I wouldnt have gotten all worked about, but would have just asked for an IOU in writing. Either way the dealer isnt going to jack you what would have to gain, the part ships to them and obviously the car doesnt have it installed, so the proof is easy they owe you a body kit

Yeah, but who is to say that the dealer wouldn't lie and say they did finally come in and gave them to me? For all I know they could say they were given to me and I told them not to install it. I know I'm likely being overly paranoid, but I don't know why I still feel unprotected.

then i would go back and get it in writing. A simple I owe a body kit to John Smith and to install. Date and signed. Then its to easy. Even without that they still would lose in court or GM's eyes. Because for you not to take it they would probably want you to say that in writing, so really dont matter how paranoid you are they have no leg to stand on or anything going for them if they want to cheat you

Problem = didnt get your GFX on delivery

Solution = Go to dealer and get an IOU.

OP you are dealing with a bunch of "what ifs". Just handle the facts and move on.

I agree with Speedfreak .....not seeing the issue.

It's not the dealers fault your parts aren't there. Why make the DEALER pay for the suppliers fault?!?! Really now.... There are many parts that MANY people are waiting on...it's part of buying a brand new car. I will be waiting on many items to come in as well. Heck, we are taking my car out to Carlilse and showing it...even though it's not going to be complete. Parts just don't pop up overnight. Like Scott said, demand is over riding supply. It'll get here...

Ok. Let the dealer snap their fingers and make a miracle happen.
They can't make a supplier speed up their manufacturing process.

That said thats a crappy story to feed you and they should do better than this, but complaining over $2.68 in interest? BFD....
See...this is the part that I began thinking about. I mean...we are talking about someone being pissed off because they paid for a part that they don't have yet.

Okay...GFX are $2265...add in the 7.1% interest over the term of the loan which comes out to something like $160 in interest over a 60 month period just for your GFX. Divide all that up and you'll be paying about $40 total for your GFX and interest for ONE MONTH. Technically, you won't be losing out on the actual product since they WILL be installed. So, take away the amount paid for the product and yeah....you'll be LOSING ALMOST THREE DOLLARS IN INTEREST FOR THE FIRST MONTH.

Dude...I don't mean to be rude, but cry me a freakin' river....

I think you are more concerned that you got your car delivered and it wasn't completely finished. If that is your chief complaint, I'd say, it's going to be okay. Your GFX ARE being built and will get there shortly. I have read thread after thread after thread about people going back to have stripes put on since they didn't come with the car.

It's hard times up there right now. Things aren't just stock piled in back corners so when people order, they get shipped the same day. You don't want to produce more than is needed....you just work at a steady pace and all parts will be made. I'm thinking of ordering the GFX for my car and shoot...I'll be waiting a month or longer to get them. It's just part of getting a new car with all new parts.

Don't worry...you'll get your GFX. I bet they come in in about a week or two (at latest). When they do, and when they get installed, you are going to LOVE them and probably forget all about the three dollars of interest you just lost.
