as for the people who say the V8 doesnt come out yet.....

Can you tell me where they have advertised the V8 outside of specialty magazines and the chevy website????

All of the advertisements have been for the V6. People that arent on this site are only going to see those and therefore not know shit about the V8
To your point I can agree, in only the people who truly know NOTHING about American cars, or muscle cars, or Camaro's for that matter. Because even if you had seen an SS back in the 60's it had a V8, all the way up through now the SS has had a V8. So when someone looks at the SS badge and STILL THINKS it is a V6, that's just plain dumb.

Well by reading some of these replies, it makes me feel less bad about getting a V6 since everyone thinks they're V6's anyhow.

I get it if they're like super dirty but how is that a bad question? Take a guy like me who loves the car and haven't even seen one in real life. I gotta know if I can fit in it!

What's hilarious is that you and a lot of other people seem to think that McCain wouldn't have been forced to do the same thing had he been elected.

Besides I thought politics where to be kept out of the general forums?

Not a dumb comment - just funny! A guy that we do business with called me at work the other day and said "guess what just passed me on the road"!? I said "guess what I have in the parking lot"!!! Well, I was amused!!!

Yeah I suppose you do have a pretty good point.

BUT, the overwhelming majority of people are not that good at their camaro history.

They dont know SS means V8.
THink about it... does the Cobalt SS have a V8 in it???
If it does then I must be stupid because I sure didnt know it.

The average guy wont really know though.

Haha, you didn't know the Cobalt SS had a V8!?

Yea, I hear ya. I don't expect everyone to know Camaro history, or know everything about cars. But it does make me laugh when someone thinks they know everything and they come right out and say something that they read or heard, yet they're completely misinformed.

I'll tell you what though, I'm kinda tired of the Transformers comments. I mean I knew it would happen, but that's exactly why I didn't buy yellow, especially with black stripes.
