After three years I had enough of the Camaro leather and went for a 1SS, specifically wanted a 1SS so I wouldn't have leather. I like cloth because it's easier to take care of. Proper leather treatment is a lot of work, and the Camaro interior is mostly vinyl anyway which I guess makes it easier, but it's not for me.

It all has it's pros and cons anyway and depends on your use, how long you want to keep your car, climate, etc......... not worth fighting over.

Does it matter?

My point is that some people simply do not want leather. So to call cloth the "poor man's leather" is plain stupid.

I have the really light grey in mine. In a black car its amazing how much heat it doesnt produce inside because of it. And the light grey contrasts amazing against the black exterior. Compliments all the time on it.

Everyone prefers what their own car has or doesn't have. People with leather will say leather is better, people with cloth will say cloth is better... same with any other option, bodystyle, transmission, trim level or color... RS, sunroof, convertible, polished or painted wheels, etc. Whatever anyone has is usually what they like... No sense arguing about it.

By the way, I believe ABM manual transmission cars with leather and sunroofs are the best. haha.

Plus, the cloth seats hold on to you a little better than the leather ones.

However, suede is the ultimate. It doesn't have the unwanted characteristics of leather, yet it still allows you to feel important, since that seems to be important to some of you guys.

Is it that time of the month? Geez

I like my cloth seats as well. They are just more comfortable than leather in my opinion. Doesn't burn your skin in the summer and doesn't freeze you in the winter they're juuuuust right

to everyone who says the seats or car smells, have you never heard of febreeze or car air freshners? and you can get dog hairs with a lint roller.

im not sure how leather camaro seats look but i love the look and feel of my cloth
the only drawback of leather is it rips more than cloth over time

I had leather in my last two cars and i wasn't that impressed, it was whatever. over time only the drivers seat started to crack because i was always back n' forth in it.
This time around i chose black cloth, i love the feel of it and its not like cloth from the old days, to me it feels better in quality.
im in florida so like now when it gets hot as balls depending on what i am wearing i would burn my legs (not unbearable though), in the winter it doesn't get so could that i need heated seats.
i also go to the gym almost everyday and the way i prevent sweat absorption is that i bring a old hoodie (not dirty just old) and i put over the seat and my problem is solved or i bring another shirt and the problem is still solved.
i don't eat in my car, i have no kids and my pet is a bearded dragon so hair and fur is not my problem in this case.
no offense but the people complaining that cloth will smell bad and whatever, i think that they don't take car of themselves very well, Ive been in plenty of cloth cars and smell was the least of the problems. its all about how you take care of your things in the end but in any case its what ever makes you happy because in the end we all have the same car.

no, never needed to. but don't gym's have showers? if your plunking you funky ass in your car after an hour long workout then the car is probably going to smell regardless of what's covering the seats.

Talking

I had leather seats in my car for several years, it was nice at first until the brutal summer sun hit them and i got in and sat down with shorts on...OUCH! nearly lost a layer of skin to that episode. The heated seat worked ok but still had to wait for it to warm up and on a freezing winter day that aint now walk in the park.
I specifically insisted that I had cloth seats in my new Camaro when I bought it, I was even offered a good deal for a 2LT/RS but I really didn't want one do to the fact that it had leather seats, expensive wheels and tires, and (in my opinion) cheezy looking head lights with halos, all these items I would have ended up getting rid of by trading out with someone else, the only thing that would have been cool to have from that package was the HUD, but I managed without it for a while now.
Leather is nice for certain circumstances but for the most part I hate leather in a car.

I bet living in the southern states leather has to be brutal when getting into your car after work. That's the only reason i can think of i would want cloth.
