I'm a person that like CARS, and isn't partial to one particular brand, genre, or style. I don't own a Mustang, but almost just as blasphemous, I own an import. My DD is a '13 WRX.

I really like Mustangs and was looking at some when deciding what to buy. I ended up going with the Camaro, but could have very well went with a Mustang.

Almost literally, the only difficult thing on a 5.0 is headers. Even if you wanted to change cams, all that has to come off is the valve covers and front cover, about 45 minutes work dont even yave to drain coolant.(and who says you have to change the cams when stock cams are going 8 seconds). Your 06 harley truck had a 5.4l 3v, and the only supercharged harleys were previous generation trucks, i believe 02 or 03, and were 5.4 2v engines. 3v's had spark plug troubles but if you change the plugs on a hot engine they do not break. Ford has never had any problem with weak frames dont know where u pulled that from. You keep talking about poor mustang quality but i see plenty on the other side, like grinding manual trans's, oil pump failures, heater core failures, diff failures, supercharger coupling failures, convertible top failures, hud failures, etc. Your rant about ford actually confirms the opposite of what your trying to state, and its embarrassing. I had a 10 mustang gt before my current ss and it wasnt the fastest or most nimble but it gave me lots of trouble free miles, more than my ss, so far

Camaro and Mustang

Hi,
Yes I have a 2006 Saleen and a 2010 2SS/RS. I also have a 2010 Challenger and a 1996 Viper GTS and a 1994 Viper roadster. But they are all 6 speed and my wife cant drive a stick....hahahaha....I am definitely NOT a ford guy but this Saleen is the best looking mustang I have ever seen and flawless so I bought it....maybe send photos later dont know how to do that here yet....

There is plenty of brand loyalty on here.....why the hell do you guys post about the Camaro being such a good car. How dare you...on Camaro 5 ..go on about how much you guys like your Camaro and bash other brands. That does not happen on the mustang forums...ever. The next post displaying brand loyalty to chevy on a Camaro forum should be deleted asap. So lets put a stop to this bs....declare ford the best brand and move on. I like my Camaro a lot better then the mustang...that's right,,,i said it. Now what ?

I like my camaro better than my mustang! But this particular thread is about nothing more than who has both cars, and some people have to turn it into a brand pissing match. I joined this forum for a bit of technical help, a bit of comraderie, and a bit of humor, just as i did on a ford site when i bought my previous car. There is plenty of trash talk on both sides, which is to be expected and fun in the threads that call for it! But this is the only site ive ever seen where a discussion on air fresheners will turn into a "chevy new car smell is better than ford new car smell"

I am part of the Camaro club and have 2014 1LE 2SS Camaro (soon to pushing over 730 to fly) and a 2007 Modded Gt Mustang . The guys in the group are car people but throw a little smack at me in good fun, but I have taken the Mustang on a cruise with the Camaro folks and they are all good people. I would post photos of both but don't know how at the moment. True car people are car people all around. Just keep the tuners (Ricers away) JJ. I just enjoying seeing different muscle cars new and old.

However I like my Camaro more to get that information out there.

I had an 09 gt convertible. Nice car. I would love to have kept that car too.

I got a 2014 Mustang GT Premium, wanted a V8 and the coyote has the best exhaust note to me. My Camaro V6 is supercharged so it isn't a reliable daily driver anymore.

Not a mustang fan and would never(well not never ever under any circumstance) personally own one, but I have to say that I am personally a fan of ANYTHING that goes fast. Or is really loud. Or both

Look at my list of cars, definitely no brand loyalty there. If I like something, I buy it. If I get tired of it, I sell it. The Del Sol we've had for 12 years, so we do keep some a lot longer than others. I agree with others, this thread was just for people that own both, not a pissing match.

Not brand loyal... I have a Camaro 2SS and a SVT Lightning... I buy what I like at that particular time... IMO vehicles are so refined these days you really can't buy a bad vehicle... I was driving my cousins brand new Dodge 4x4 single cab the other day and it's very nice...

Only thing I don't like about my Mustang is it is black, biggest PITA to keep clean. Green is so much easier to keep looking nice.
