Got a few pics of the base models at a local dealer. Waiting for a Red Hot that's in transit to see what it looks like.

I'm starting to not hate the butt so much... Still certainly prefer the '10 - '13 butts, of course.

I have an honest question regarding the tail lamps. This is not a baited question or a troll. I just really want to know why the drastic change on tail lights this year??? These things are usually done in small steps so no one points out a huge, glaring change that splits up peoples' opinions. I don't buy the official GM explanation that I read in a magazine interview. The guy said the design became dated looking and needed to evolve to keep the important Camaro brand looking fresh. WTF?? Why put them on the brand new super special C7 Vette if they look dated? Anyone have an official answer to this??

Well i think if they changed the front end then they would have to change the rear end. You really cant change round tail lights. I guess you could make the bigger or smaller but really thats about it. They went with a look that is simiular to the old 60s camaros.
I dont know but i like them.

'14 tail on a non-RS V6 could use a nice tall wing spoiler(like SSX camaro), any PS out there?

problem with the 2014 is they CAN look alright. if you pay the extra and get 1LE so the front looks better. (plasti dip chrome lip) and you pay the extra dn get the LED option tailights look kinda cool. but even on those mods my chip still goes in the 13 basket

yep still like the 10'-13s better. they are nice but the original gen 5s are better looking IMO. still cool tho. just going to make the first gen 5 worth more in the long run i think.

..the side by side just reaffirms how much I don't care for the 14s rear end, but I have mine and people will love theirs so that is all that matters.

Alternatively, I love the front fascia.. to the point I would put that on mine over any aftermarket front fascia if I could black out the chrome. Not sure if we can pick these up or not... would love to remove the mail slot and run stripes down mine.
