Go! Just keep it clean and shiny all the show I need! Never been into cosmetic mods. My Zx14, camaro, and Silverado have all been modded this way. If it doesn't make it faster, or handle better I ain't doing it!

I like go. I like cars that get used. The Trans Am race cars are sweet. gray cast aluminum for me. I would wash my Camaro and Harley but im to busy driving them. the only time to drive them is the same time to wash them and they look just as bad a hr after I wash them. I do not like a bunch of useless bling

I've spent plenty of money on both. But function always trumps form in my book so I went heavier on the go mods. If you can't back up the looks with performance, what's the point?

Lucky for us our Gen5's have plenty of both right off the lot.

Even if you just put in a 1000 HP motor under the hood without any "show", the stock form of our cars has plenty of show to go with that extra go.

So, no dilemma for me.

I'm not in any way trying to START a V6 vs. V8 thread here, I'm just saying that I can guarantee that almost all who say "all show no go" will own V6's and almost all who say "all go no show" will own V8's.
Agreed! and I will just tell you a general opinion from Scottsdale car show observations around car guys that are performance driven muscle car wise this holds true, its usually happens with someone running there mouth about how badass there whip is then we go look at it, and it has the usual externals, fancy lights, etc then someone says open the hood and fire it up, "crickets" and we all walk away. Just the way it is around here. I personally respect a little of each, some engine, some external.

Hey, that bloated cavalier was sexy! BUUUT my thinking and opinions seem to be a little $%&$ED up compared to most Camaro is the evolution of the V platform, better platform and dead sexy! looks has deff been a strong selling point.

To the original posters question. Go, lots of GO, including some nice lightweight rims.

I don't care to add any "blinky lights", plastidip, glitter, or undercar lights... why? Garage Queen or Speed Demon, it's all in what you want to do with your car. If my speed boat does 150 mph in that lake and it makes me happy, then who is anyone to complain or tell me how wrong I am. I don't care for $5 plastic trophy to collect dust. I want to go faster than the other guy is all.

So OP, it's up to you, or do a little of both. What is your first thing you really want to do with your car, then Just Do It. All of us on the forum are just happy you have a camaro, now make it 'fit' you and only you.
Well said... And uh... GO....

My car is rough on the inside... Full cage, cut up carpet... But get in, roll up the tinted windows and I have no fears of anyone running with me... Oh I know it'll happen, I've had my butt handed to me on the 1/4 mile track plenty of times, but let's get on a mile track... Buh bye... You'll run out of gear or power while I'm still pulling like hell... I'll be aiming for 230 mph in the standing mile next month...standing start, one mile, go as fast as you can...

I just want to reiterate before this does turn into V6 vs V8 thread… that was not my intention. Nor is this a SHOW vs GO car thread. This is simply me asking which do YOU PERSONALLY prefer and why you chose it. You don’t have to defend your decision by saying “Go is better because…(fill in blank)”, it’s a personal preference.

I chose GO because I don't like kids in their annoying modified rice cars to out run me....
