As long as they're quality, (ARH does good work), and they fit. It's a no brainer which one to buy. Gain's can't be that much different between the two brands. The only hang up for some people will be the CEL if it doesn't stay off. I've already voided my warranty with a tune to disable the speed limiter on my car for dyno testing, so if it comes on, I can just disable it. I've read of it still coming on with the competition's HFC's... It's a gamble IMO either way as far as the CEL staying off.

Do you have your stock exhaust for when the high flow cats come in, for baseline dyno comparison and sound, for that matter?

Not going to lie, if I had known of these sooner I may have held off on getting the Solo HFC's, but the thing about the videos is the sound - it sounds like a car with short or long tube headers (that distinct metallic exhaust sound) which some people may want, but it isn't my thing.

Looking forward to seeing what comes of this. Giving everyone a better HFC price choice would be excellent.

I put my stock axleback back on before I went to the dyno last week. I imagine I will have to install a magnaflow resonated x-pipe at the very least regardless of whatever mufflers I run. I wanted to with my previous 10 SS after I installed HFC's, but I got rid of it before I could.

Probably be a while before I do any dyno comparisons, whatever the #'s end up being, the will be so similar between the two that it really won't matter. The biggest difference I think there will be is a) Sound, the Solo's have resonators after the cats b) The CEL may come on with the ARH brand? The only guy that has them that started this thread says they won't, but he's since disappeared so who knows?

I'm going to be welding a bung for a WB-o2 sensor in before I install them so I can further see what I add to the car, does what, and aid in tuning/logging.

The CEL did not go on. I had ARH put in a spacer on the rear o2 sensor.

You'll have to call them, they don't have anything really listed on their website for the LFX cars. The LLT catback alone should work fine with either the stock stuff, or with their HFC's, but their website(&pricing on it) is a piece of crap.

On the phone they told me their cats should be compatible with any stock, or aftermarket catback exhaust.

o2 sensor. your car has 4 of them. You will most likely have to have the car's tune modified to basically disable the rear o2 sensors and keep the check engine light off because you didn't get the catted ones. that's what people keep talking about, most people don't want them if the catted ones can't keep the check engine light off like the solo cats, because they don't want to get a tune.

American Racing Headers for LFX.

Well they look good. I'm very tempted to have the tube and flange sections ceramic coated before I install.

I can't seem to get a good pic, but on the right computer screen you can probably see a huge difference in the flange area. (Stock shown bottom)

The flow bench says that these flow 29% better than the factory double catted down pipes

I'll probably do the ceramic coating before I install them.

Have you tested the solo's on the flow bench as well Jason? Might be good to see how they both compare to stock
