As has already been stated, you are talking about two different worlds. What series did YOU run?

This is my Grand National (factory radio delete).........

...........and this is my COPO (#006).

Both are rare. Both are collectable. Will they be worth anything in twenty years? Who knows!

Haha. Well done.

Looking at your picture, you're running B/SA? What combo did you buy for that?

I haven't done enough research into the Factory Stock classes, could you run them? (Assuming only weight difference?). My father had a friend who ran a cuda in A/SA and B/SA Depending on car count. His other buddy ran a stick super stock camaro (Chevy A Go Go if it rings a bell)

My apologies for ignorance, I'm a super class guy.

I wasn't really looking to get the guy. But the COPO was built to run Stock and Super Stock. It is a very sophisticated car built to run some very specific and tough classes.

The car was built with a 427. I built a 396 for it this summer. It is a pretty good combination. Even at 3500 lbs!

I have an eye on the Factory Stock class. I am mostly waiting to see if Chevrolet will fix the spec. for the new 450.

I imagine the ZL1 will be around in 2015-16 so I think these cars are going to be like any production car and not like the "limited" COPO which should gain over the course of time. Now I know the COPO cannot be driven on the street and cannot be titled but I am thinking in the long term here. What do you think?
...the COPO has no VIN, you can not drive it on the street. Having said that, if you are in for long term investment, keep the ZL1. The COPO is a drag piece ONLY. The ZL1 is a digger, track car, and a DD or Sunday driver. It does it all, and it's unique because of those values.
