Ant i know exactly how you feel lol this is my situation.. im 18 years old and want a 2lt rs...i have no credit.. ive had a paid off v6 07 dodge charger with wheels navi exhaust, since i was 16.. i want to trade in my car (13-15k) for it then finance around 15k prolly in my name.(idk if its gonna be possible, but by putting my car as a DP it should be)..i feel very selfish on one hand...but the camaro is so damn nice, i have a 2.7 and would like a little more speed... ive been told it would be pretty dumb of me to get stuck with a car payment during this time of my life (college). But if i have a job and can afford the extra prolly 400 dollars a month with insurance then why not...maybe i should just be grateful that i have had a nicer car then most people have... dang the camaro is too sick, and is my dream car though.. im in a dillema..... ANT just do what makes you happy, thats what im gonna do.. Age is just a number bro
this is just me ranting out i guess. thats all i can think about is me having a black/black 2lt rs camaro this is really the deciding factor for me... How much more insurance (ballpark) do yall think i would pay more on a 2010 3.6 camaro from a 2007 2.7 Dodge charger... |

Good luck to ya young man....and make sure you make ALL the payments.
Nothing worse than the finance company coming after your grandparents and mom for their money. Hope you are making the right FINANCIAL choice and won't have your family regret they did this for you later on.

Why not ask your insurance company and then tell us? There's not a lot of data on the forum for comparing insurance costs from one car to another. Just be sure to post both the cost for the Dodge and the cost for the Camaro so that we can actually compare.

I'd roll in a Genesis Coupe. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as a Camaro, but it's a good enough configuration for me...RWD, 6MT, decent price, decent fuel economy, plenty of speed, good warranty, good incentives. Hyundai puts their factory service manuals on the web for free, too.

You can do just about anything but its all up to the financial institution.
I know someone whose brother had bad credit and could not get a truck loan unless he had a big down payment, which he did not have. His brother belonged to a credit union so he bought the truck his brother wanted and got the loan for it under his name only. The truck was titled in both names and his brother made all the payments (by mail) and kept up the insurance. The credit Union did not care as long as the vehicle title had their name on the lien portion.

So your dad's credit is ruined... You have no credit at all... You're 18 and working, and have had a work history of 2 years or less... Doesn't sound like you'll be approved for a loan any time soon. |
