Why is everyone insulting this guy for having an opinion? Just because it's not YOUR opinion doesn't mean he's an idiot

OP, the car doesn't feel all that fast because GM did a great job with the cabin. It's air tight and blocks out noise. If you look at your speedometer while driving, you'll see that the car is indeed very fast, it just won't feel that way.

Try driving it at night with the windows down on an open road. You may change your mind.

They shouldn't be on backorder anymore. They got the front lip redesigned as well as having very good installation instructions.

My 06 Evo IX felt sluggish and "tight" for the first 1000-1500 miles, after that there was definitely a noticeable difference. It seemed to wind up quicker after broken in, just saying... give it some time before you pass judgement.

i don't think it is slow but i have owned 6 mustangs and it does not have the bottow end torque that the gt with a couple of mods has. Also Ive had the car for three and a half weeks and been waiting for a trans(6 speed) for three weeks as it does not go into 2nd or 3rd good at all sometimes grinds depending on the speed. Its something to do with the 1st to 4th inside the tranny that let go they are replacing it. Not to mention the back of the passanger seat the stiching aroung the handle in the middle is coming undo and windows leak a little in the rain. what else will go wrong down the road??

Let me guess your one of these guys that red lines the car right out of the dealership right? You need to break it in not break it. Give it 3000 miles most people are seeing the difference before then but just in case. As for mine I've been good better than most in staying off the gas pedal. Yet when I've punched it I've had plenty of positive feed back. It is definitely faster than my 4rth gen SS and that had some work and complete exhaust upgrade including hooker headers to magnaflow cat back plus roughly 300 pounds lighter.

you can respect a man's opinion but dude be happy you got it!! I'm driving a 96 Jimmy, no air conditioning (i live in South TX) the transmission is going out, everytime i go uphill it slows down 5-10 mph, if I exceed 3,000 RPM's it makes a loud screeching noise, the driver seat has a huge gash in it, still not sure how it happened, and it's dying :( I am going to be sooooo grateful when my 2LT SIM RS comes in. not only will it have air conditioning, but it will have 304 HP, get much better gas mileage, it's gonna be loaded inside. I'M ECSTATIC AND CAN'T WAIT FOR MINE. it's destiny

Trade your Camaro in for a Viper and then maybe you'll stop being so picky and selective. I just can't believe some people.
Exactly. Infact when I rode in a 2ss I could have sworn we were only going 100 kph when in fact we were going 160kph.

That's because they haven't made a Z28 yet. It gets to be king by default.

My first thought was the dealer filled the tank with regular. Run a couple tanks of premium through it and it should wake up. Don't worry about the tach, you'll be shifting by sound soon enough.

Cars designed to go really fast don't feel like they're going fast until you are going really fast. And by really fast I don't mean 90, I mean 140+. This "muscle" car is actually a true GT road car, not just a one-trick pony 1/4 miler.

For starters, it feels incredibly slow. For a 426 HP V8 I was expecting a little more, hopefully the engine will break in a little more and feel a bit more responsive. The car also feels very big to me, I feel like I'm driving a boat, not a sports car.

I have a 6 speed and I hate how I can't see the tachometer when I'm driving because the steering wheel is in the way, no matter how I position the steering wheel unless I push it all the way up which isn't comfortable. Maybe it's just the way I sit.

I'm not saying it's a bad car and it will probably grow on me but I'm just saying I was expecting a bit more
I for one value your opinion! Everybody slamming you is really not deserved. Getting issues/opinions out in the open is what freedom of speech is about on the interwebz. If no one complains, nothing gets fixed, changed or done. Everybody else that doesn't respect your opinion can keep drinking the kool-aid...

With that said. I'm selling two of my Mustangs to purchase an SS Camaro. I am getting rid of my 2006 Mustang GT (305 hp @ the flywheel) and my 1991 supercharged coupe (280 hp @ the rear wheels). Hmmmmm, lets see...with 20 percent parasitic loss from the flywheel to the rear wheels I should be making 341 hp at the rear wheels with the 2SS 6-speed Camaro! I better feel the difference or I'll convert back to the dark side in a jiffy!!!!
