hey guys, I finally accepted that at least for the next few years, a ZL1 is too expensive for me, for a third vehicle anyway. so I compromised...
I traded in my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee for a SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and let me tell you something... lol. This thing gets so much traction and shoots off the line quick. This scratches my "go fast" itch. It has been a while. And im loving all the bells and whistles that it came with too. I'll just have fun with this at least until the new Camaros come out and we will see. Oh, BTW, they had a Viper at the dealership and I sat in it, yea, ummm, I could barely move. It is so small. And the exhaust sounds like a boat motor when idling. Some old guy bought it today for 99K. I couldn't do it, no way. |

LOL, the $55k ZL1 is too expensive but a $70k GC isn't? Also, didn't read the whole threa, why, living in GA, would a ZL1 be a second car? I mean here in MI, 4wd gets me where I gotta go 6 months a year.
I hear ya on the Viper, though. Even though I've dropped a few pounds, at 6'2", I'm not sure it will ever fit.

I will NEVER get rid of my truck for a car. Lol. I have a 2013 Silverado 4x4 and my wife had a 2013 Jeep GC. So, instead of buying another car, I traded hers in for a more luxurious, faster Jeep. It was slightly used. So I spent 20k over the price of her Jeep instead of 45k for another vehicle altogether. Plus, it saves an extra 50-80 bucks so I don't have to buy insurance for another car.
I move a lot (Navy), one of the reasons I need a truck. I don't have to pay for a fridge, couch, swing set, pick whatever large item people with cars have to pay to get delivered to their house. And the amount of time to get such things. I would have paid between $700-750 a month total for a Z vice $350 for the Jeep. Yeah, and the whole $4.50 more for insurance a month. |
