What is even more funny are guys getting so worked up they start calling people retards... . Nobody argued saying it did not work well.. but is not the only way to make a car handle is what was said.
Feel safe everyone the keyboard commandos have arrived...lol Talking quality has nothing to do with horsepower.

I don't think you work in engineering if you are making this comment. you have to build enough of something to really optimize the design. nobody gets it right the first time. horsepower and torque create harsher loads and better materials are required. this drives the cost up. the higher the cost usually the lower the demand. there are fewer high horspower cars built to optimize you design. which lead to more quality issues. I don't think you will ever find a 600hp car with the relibabliy of 150hp car the power level is not the only factor though that leads to this qualty gap. the power level drives the cost up which in turn drives the demand down. if you look at the cars that most people think are high qualty at times like honda's and toyota's they are very mundane designs they you build in high volume. this really helps you optimize quality. look at a Zl1 there ~12,000 units on the ground with alot of model specific parts. people will think the quality should be higher because it cost more but I think it will actually be lower based on production numbers.

I don't think reading comprehension is your strong suite either.. I have not posted that the zl1 is going to be as dependable as honda or any other car..I do think the shock/strut should last longer.. I would bet someone can make one that lasts longer..

I think most of them will. you act like this failure is some huge sample size. I agree though 44k is not long enought to be good quality if this were normal.

No not really.. I was in a conversation with someone else then folks start making claims, getting indignant and all upset. . Instead of reading what reading what folks might actually be talking about.. I think most will last longer than that.

580-446 http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-580-44...ywords=580-446 link looks kind of sketchy though. ships in 1-2 months. I know when we put CTS-V brakes on my buddies 1le I think he bought many of the AC delco parts on amazon and they came in and saved him a grip of money over dealer pricing. The have worked out fine.

Honda has had like 2 or 3 class action lawsuits on their transmission starting from 1998: http://www.hondaproblems.com/trends/...ssion-failure/ Brake class action: http://www.hondaproblems.com/trends/accord-brake-wear/ Excessive oil consumption: http://www.autoblog.com/2013/10/23/h...wsuit-engines/ And a list of other issues. OP,
Were you tracking your car as well or did the failure result from regular driving? Didn't see the question, sorry if I'm asking a second time.

I think you right the part number is a 2013 and the one I put in comes up as 2014 on the GM sites. I have to be honest I did not relize the strut itself was different between the models and years. I wonder what they changed. looks like they code them as FE5 suspension on the GM websites. so if you search your year, FE5, then body style you can get the GM part number. then if you google that with ac delco in the search you can grabe the interchange part number. amazon seem to have the OE part numer loaded in the system as well.

I bought the AC delCo rear rotors for my car due to the oem rotor hats rusting. The quality was far superior, a rust proofing/coating was very much noticeable. I am aware that you probably know this already but I quoted you because you started to talk about this. I just wanted to post this for people who maybe unclear of the 2 different part numbers per part..... I'm a huge Amazon shopper. The site is hands down the best place to buy just about anything.. 95 percent of the time anyways! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk |
