I don't really think that's the case. nobody is really calling him out personally. some people are just pointing out that with all we know about it now, it's pretty stupid to do. it's like if somebody came on here and asked if others ate rancid meat in their cars, like they did. I don't think anybody would be out of line for telling the op how stupid and dangerous it is to eat rancid meat.

I'll cut the older smokers some slack. I smoked for 20 yrs, started at 14 back in the mid 80's. (quit about 7yrs ago) was a lot easier back then as there were no age limitations (Clinton did that), there was plenty of advertising and promoting, (back then the sprint cup was called the Winston cup) and there were even cigarette machines in grocery stores. hell, when I was in high school there was a smoking area right outside the cafeteria where anybody could smoke as long as they had a permission slip from their parents. so back then it was not only easier to take up the habit, but much more socially acceptable. but today, for anybody under about 30, well, it's just stupid. call it "holier than thou", or "judgmental". but it's still stupid.

i used to smoke for years, never would smoke in a house i pay for the same goes for the car. however the woman smokes in hers and that car is disgusting......

I think it would be pretty cool if everyone would take a step back with the 'if you're a smoker, you're a scumbag disgusting human being' and maybe chill. Nobody cares that you don't smoke. Frankly, folks shouldn't care that OP smokes..seems like he's trying to be as courteous about it as possible towards the non-smokers by smelling as little as possible while still doing what he does.

He didn't say 'dude you gotta try this new brand!' , nor did he try and force his ranky stanky smoky smelling interior into your car. Shit, the guy was trying to help out, and all yall do is rail on him for being a smoker.

If he walks by and blows it in your face, call out that smoker because he's a dick. If he's in a corner trying to stay away from the crowd, and then goes and washes his hands before joining back in the party, give that mother****er a high five because he's being courteous.

And IMO, most smokers suck, throwing their butts out the car window, and have no consideration for others that don't smoke. Must still be pissed that they can't fire one up where ever/when ever they want..

Period !!!! And the cigarette butts all over the place is disgusting! You people throw then out your windows and everything else ! But it's ok !! No reliable, non biased, scientific study backed by data has ever been done about second hand smoke so just stop right there. Maybe if you sat next to a smoker for years, maybe.

And there's not empty water bottles from all the joggers and all kinds of stuff littering the world?

Arthroscopic surgery/treatment for joggers, runners, wall climbers, etc runs more in health insurance costs per year than smokers who just tend to die. Wait till insurance targets active people, can't wait for the feedback.
